I was in FOB Salerno 2010-2013. One part of me stay there. Crazy experience

@@charlescase6058 Really. We probably saw each other at the base. I was in materials as a material control specialist. I worked as a contractor for Flour corp. My room was in brick mortar 215.

@@charlescase6058 Yes I remember when you were in the middle of the base. I remember a couple of attempts by the Taliban to hit the aerostat but each time they missed and sometimes hit the tents that were next to it.I remember that near the aerostat there was a small hill with a small radar on it and below it was a car wash station or it was a fuel station.

Need to put a couple of Hellfire Missiles on it. I was there in 2003, you guys have got it made compared to when I was there, we only had one 100kw gen for the entire base.

i remember when my FOB got one. that thing was a trip. i was out for my morning run (yes, i was a fobbit and unless you've been to both iraq and AFG you can STFU about it!) and i saw the blimp for the first time. could not figure out what it was for a long time. had one of my Sgts tell me. was a trip!

Holy fuck, I remember that fucking thing. In country for like, 3 weeks and we get some IDF. That big ass thing finds out where it comes from. Col. Steele pulls some strings, gets a couple birds with hellfires involved that night. I remember sitting on the TOC roof in a fucking folding chair with a bunch of others watching the show while we had the UAV feed up on a screen. It was fucking awesome. Not sure if it was this exact one but it was one like it. Back in I don’t know... 06 maybe.
