Great video Jim! I've liked these designs since I first saw them.

Those look great. It is nice to have a good outdoors knife. My Bark River Bravo 1 has been great the last few years. I am not nice to that thing. I will definitely consider getting this Fobos Alaris. It looks very good. Also if SHTF you can hold it and feel comfortable while looking out the window watching the neighbors being chased by bandits.

The jimping in the index area is very interesting to me... and honestly looks to be a nightmare to do. Honestly, I use... most of my knives. And yes, that has included game processing. I have a total of one... safe queen. Still love it.

I love the fact you're a horror movie loving metal-head. Maybe do a live, where we can all discuss horror movies and heavy music?

What is the round divot in the middle of the handle for?

I have that knife in my wishlist. My two combat knives retired with my uniform last month. I did simple things with those knives for 20 years. Never had to be in a knife fight. I think they will go in a window box on the wall at some point. Opening mres, letters, whittling, feather sticking, carving notches, cl3aning under my fingernails, cutting paracord. Benchmade nim tanto, nim cub tanto, benchmade autostryker. The cub still looks brand new. It barely got use.

It has a good belly. It would be a good skinner.

Looks nice, but Busse always gets my fixed blade user vote.

I don’t use any of the knives in my collection… be it $100 or $1000. I’ve got a bread knife, meat cleaver, fillet knife, and steak knives in the kitchen that do get used; but in all honesty, 99% of my cutting needs are best served by my Whiteley scissors.

Meh. That's nice but he could retire next year.. or in 5 years.. etc and then what good is a warranty.
@JimSkeltonKnives Жыл бұрын
That’s a good point. However, brands that build themselves to a good size typically survive the founder. If he decided to do that, it’s entirely possible that he would sell the company first, and build in warranty adoption into the contract.

I plan to one day own this very knife, and I appreciate that you have a family that will carry on the brand. God bless you and your family.
