Focal Clear Review - End-Game Headphone?

Thank you Adam! It's the studio of my employer and I'm super glad they let me use it. And as for camera work, it's something I'm trying to get better as well but I appreciate the nice words!

Kabayan, focal clear and thx789 don't have synergy. When I had the clear(before upgrading to utopia), I used lyr3 and ECP l2(my primary amp for hd800). They smoothen the treble a bit. Otherwise, great take though.

Thanks for the info Kabayan! If in the future I get my hands on that, I'll make another video or update this one. Although I kinda know the treble of the Clear can be a tad too sharp generally speaking, but it's right up my preference. Still, I don't mind experiencing other pairing.

Hey, I have the Sennheiser HD 660 S and am planning on grabbing the Focal Clears this weekend. The dac I use is the iFi micro idsd Signature so was wondering which amp I should pair with it for the aforementioned two headphones. I was leaning towards the Schiit Jotunheim 2 or the Topping A90.

At this point, it's mostly preference. However, The THX789 is a dead on neutral amp (as any amp should be). This isn't a problem with "synergy", it's just you not liking the Focal Clears for what they are. Some might like the treble, others won't. If you don't like how the treble sounds, perhaps the Focal Clears aren't for you.
