Diversity has been a nornality in the ottoman, roman, chinese, british and every other significant empire in the history of the world.
@supersnapp2 жыл бұрын
@@bilalhamurabi3362 If we take the Roman and UK, there was a dominant group and that was imposed on those people who were not from that group. This improved the conditions of the conquered lands, but lacked the power to influence the primary controlling entity. The UK had a colonial system where non-British were not equal. Diversity did not occur until the modern era when non-whites from the empire began to immigrate to England, upon which England has gone downhill. You are referring to empires that conquered areas and became diverse in their empire. This is not the same thing as a country being diverse. In those empires, the non-dominant groups were not equal. Diversity has made the US much worse, diversity (combination of Russians and Ukrainians) has made Ukraine very difficult to govern. Iraq, South Africa (since the ANC took over), Egypt (the southern Egyptians hate the Northern), I don't see modern examples of diversity working. Is there some reason why don't want to address the issue of Lebanon? Does it look like diversity is working for Lebanon? Tell us all the ways that diversity has helped Lebanon. Because this looks like a bad outcome.

@@supersnapp Lebanon is a mess because it has been repeatedly completely destroyed by Israel for 40 years. UAE on the other hand is maybe the most diverse country in the world and wealthy. So is the US. North Korea is the most homogenous country in the world. How is this playing out for them? Diversity is not the only factor whether a country becomes wealthy. Yes diversity may create problems because whenever you have different people you will have friction, but also opportunities. It depends on how you approach diversity. In all diverse countries there is inequality whether its China or USA or Russia or UAE but this doesnt mean these countries arent successful.
