I use it with armoured fiber. I usually just cut the outer layer with the tool and use pliers to take off the armour

Hi Jesse, The CST-1900 cannot cut through that type of cable but the AST-200 from Jonard, which we sell as well, is designed for armored cable similar to that. Additionally, for typical armored cable, a “heavy-duty ringer” type of tool is commonly used, such as the Miller ACS Adjustable Armored Cable Slitter for 0.315" to 1.125" (8-28.6mm) cable.
