That's a really cool tool. I cant figure out what a spiral cut would be used for.

Good question! We've used it for some mid-cable strips, so you can carefully unwind the jacket, and also it's a good alternative to the longitudinal cut for tough-to-strip cables. The spiral cut tends to leave the core of the cable more intact than the longitudinal cut.

Your supposed to set the depth of the cutting blade for whatever cable at hand. That way you don't have to worry about cutting any strands.. there isn't some kind of standard jacket thickness all wires/cables have different kinds and thickness jacket per application. Please learn how to use tools to their fullest abilities and use them properly before putting some "how to's" out there showing the world how to do or use something improperly. Keep up the good work tho thank you.

I believe he did give some explanation about the adjustability of the cutting blade height for whatever your cutting jacket thickness is at the beginning of the video. 😊
