So, it's basically next gen. of SR engine because SR also uses Havoc+Swarn mixture...the fact that tracked vehicles are working means is itself enough of a proof that this engine would be significantly different from SR's engine.

This is wild cause I've typed out the exact descriptions of this game in older Snowrunner videos about how I'd like these types of gameplay additions added to the game almost exactly. The whole being able to make your own roads and cut trees down and move debris. I think it would be cool to be able to delivered your own supplies to make your own bridges across water ways in places of your choosing. There's so much potential for this. Snow plowing etc. I personally think they should've just added this to the next Snowrunner game as its needed and maybe that's the plan. They use this game to work out all the bugs and iron everything out and then add it to the next SR.

I do recollect your comments. I also have heard folks requesting this as far back as 2021 when I first started makin videos. To my knowledge Focus does seem to take in suggestions from the community. The question what platforms do they look at critiques. Im just glad they are taking a stab at this

@@NProvince I as well love this. A part of me worries a bit about making these different spin offs and them not doing well and potentially causing big problems for the dev team financially. I don't know how well Expeditions did but I can't imagine it doing all that well? I feel like they should've poured all those resources into SR3 or whatever they end up calling it. Roadcraft makes a little more sense to me than Expeditions. Cheers

Looks great, and this has satisfied some of the more burning questions about the game that I and many other people shared. I think my one question I'm most curious about right now is if terraforming terrain is an option. Perhaps not digging down more than like 10 feet, but leveling dirt for example. It seems like the sand we can spread might "level" the terrain by itself, but one of the more important aspects of roadbuilding is leveling the dirt itself so you have a smooth road with little to no bumps and so it lasts.

Exciting news. I am curiouse to see the difference in physics. I believe i heard from a dev Q and A on discord that the engines and gearboxes work differently.

Yea hopefully the auto gearbox is actually auto where it up/downshifts depending on the speed. What would also be nice is to have the option to have manual gearbox option, where all the former auto gears get turned into a manual with all the gears.

It's going to be a new engine, so i assume it will be a noticeable improvement on SnowRunner. BUT, SR is still where all the content is at. There's still a bunch of seasons that are going to release, and many of us haven't even completed the ones that have been released (I'm only halfway through Year 2). So we're gonna play this & SnowRunner in tandem, and i fear if that will be jarring in the physics side of things.

Would be really cool if you could build infrastructure in this game and they release Snowrunner 2 which is gonna have compatible saves with this game, where you would be able to use the infrastructure you repaired and prepared to deliver cargo on.

Anything that company says they will do post launch WILL NOT HAPPEN. Just look at the history of their games, bugs for years, missing features for years. Its a shame, wish this genre could be handled by a different studio.

The more you play Snowrunner, the more you want to play Roadcraft. I find this type of coherence between games very funny 😂 I hope devs would not make Snowrunner maps even more annoying 😅

What's even weirder is they also make OP trucks for the OP maps, defeating the difficulty (but not the tedium), and making older maps boring. If the maps were the same difficulty, the truck power could stay the same, and the experience would be exactly the same, but the older maps wouldn't be more boring
