3:20 Polished stone is a finite resource! Push for processing stuff, like buying raw materials and ingredients and sell the products! Buy wheat, sell flour or better : bread!

I had a similar issue to yours at the very start with the stone mason hut. It seems like they might try to access every entance point while working (either randomly or on some set pattern) and can't move through the hut itself to do so, so every access point needs to be accessible from the outside with a decent amount of extra space. I don't think it stops production or slows it much if at all, but the notification is annoying.

I think the distances shown for villagers in the job view are their current distance NOT the distance to their place of living. That would explain why all employed villagers have a short distance, and unemployed in general have a long one.
