I am a silent person who tried to fit in by pressuring myself to talk, but then my depression came in until I realized that I am silent naturally and that this is my true self and with the realization my confidence started to grow. Now, 1 year later, I am the one who listens and speaks when I want or when I have to speak. That is why I hate small talk too, because I think it is just unnecessary time wasting. I love deep and interesting talks where everyone can talk about their perspectives and where I really want to listen. When someone comes up with things like football or somebody is talking to much about things that happened to him or her, is for me just unnecessary. I was the one who tried to laugh at everybody’s jokes even when they weren‘t funny at all or I always thought that I have to respond to everything someone tells me, that was not my natural self. Now I have friends that are just like me and there are much people out there saying things like „why do you not speak, are you shy?“ and I am like „I just don‘t have the feeling that I have to talk“ and *boom* his face instantly was like „Omg I didn‘t expect that“. So if you are a silent person just think „If someone wants to know something about me they first have to gain my trust“.

I have failed so many relationships because I didn’t love my true authentic self. I am ambitious, strong, and assertive. I tried so hard to submit to my ex boyfriends ideal fantasy of who they wanted me to be. I tried so hard to play it in real life. Each time I realize I am actually meant to be independent. I understand the difference between submission and respect and compromise with a partner but man did I compromise everything. My time and energy and my beliefs. I shape shifted to what they wanted. It made them happy until I wasn’t happy at all. Even depression at some points. I love myself for me. Unconditionally and authentic and my flaws. I am happier than ever. Life is not all about romance always...there are other things.. don't care or stress about your love life. Live your life, use your talent and importantly be good and try to do your duties. Then the perfect partner also will come in between with whom you can be free. Remember life is not all about getting a boyfriend.. study hard, get a job, be independent , do good, help parents.. I just had an epiphany! Somethin told me to just start focusin on me, my goals, and my vision. Everybody and everythin else are a waste of time! I’m 30 goin on 31 and I’m about to start focusin only on what I want to do and start stackin this paper so I can make major moves. I realized that I spent the last few years tryna save everybody else while destroyin myself simultaneously. No more! I’m not about to go out like Jesus for these fake people. It’s time to start MY “ministry” and lay claim to what I know I deserve. You are suppose to love and respect yourself. If you belong to Jesus Christ then you are adopted as a child of God, then you will truly know your value and worth not on how others view you, but on how God sees you. But God says that we are suppose to love others as we love ourselves and in humility values others above ourselves and to become a servant to others, just like Jesus did for us. You are to love and respect yourself of course, but you are not supposed to live a selfish life that revolves around you and gratifying your flesh. You are supposed to live your life to love God and please him, and what pleases him is loving others and putting them before yourself. That's what's wrong with world, they only care about themselves and what makes them feel good. You will never please God living just for yourself. He didn't create us to be selfish, that's exactly the attitude of Satan and every other narcissist. Hey, I know how you feel. I’ve been there and sometimes I still struggle with that. The thing is you’re looking for external validation. Rely on Jesus 😊, don’t rely on people because that will always disappoint. Also, do good things for yourself. Workout, find things you enjoy, do good deeds,, say affirmations like Jesus loves me, I am strong and he will get me through whatever I’m going through, and it’ll get better. It might not be today, it might not be tomorrow, but it’ll get better, hang in there 💪
