This is so timely. It's all about the conditioning of the mind. I worked in a school, that was one of the toughest schools in the city. It was difficult, coming from a school - from a privileged school, it was hard to adjust. The kids were angry, the teachers were angry, the administrators were indifferent. I would sit in my car for about 10 minutes before I could walk into the building some mornings. It wasn't until I conditioned my mind to accept were I was, and go in and do what I was hired to do. My entire school year changed, I went to work and laughed at things that should have made me cry. Conditioning your mind is the key.

That is not the way to live. They want you to wear yourself out, to be beaten and broken down. When your heart and your brain say to stop then you stop. You don’t over exert yourself. That is not the mentality they should be teaching. Take the breaks you need. Life is not about pushing harder and harder and overworking yourself. Life is actually about slowing down, listening to your heart and soul and caring about life, about growing things. You need to slow down and take a look at life, not speed up like that because then you will miss all these important things you need to see from existence. Don’t work too hard.

Derick Nhamuche that’s why you follow your heart in addition to listening to your brain. The heart knows what’s best. It knows what you truly want and need deep down. When your brain lies to you like that, your heart knows it’s lying and that’s why you are asking this question to me right now, because your heart knows deep down that your brain lies sometimes. If you feel that you need to push further and it’s what you want, there’s nothing wrong with that at all. Just don’t be too lazy and don’t over exert yourself. It goes both ways 🙃
