Hey great job Mark on the video for Skylum. This looks like the kind of product that I need, easy to use and a big time saver. I can’t wait to see some of the other features it has. This could be the start to a very nice collaboration between you and Skylum, congratulations! Looking forward to episode 4 of the Adirondacks adventure next week. Good job as always on your content. 👍

Thanks Mark. You’d appreciate how easy Luminar lends itself to quick, good quality editing with some powerful tools under the hood.

Congratulations on Skylum reaching out to you Mark. I've used Skylum's Luminar 4 for the past couple of years and I have been very happy with it. While I don't use focus stacking in my images it's something I guess I should consider. The relight tool looks like something I would use regularly and you made it look very easy. I'm looking forward to what else you can do with Skylum's Neo and of course the next adventure in the Adirondacks.

I’m looking forward to trying macro next Sam, and see how the stacking extension holds up to say, 20+ images. As for the relight tool, yeah, it’s a time saver and fun as heck to play with for fast results. I’m digging it.

Congratulations Mark on your collaboration with Skylum. I have been using Luminar Neo for the past few months and I love it. You have already point out a feature I didn’t know existed but is something I would find useful. Looking forward to more videos in this series.

I’ll be digging in Bruce to compare the upgrades from Luminar 4 which was always my go-to plugin and even at times my main editor. Neo has some fantastic options!

I use Luminar Neo and Luminar AI as a plugin in Photoshop. This way I have a great workflow

Martin, do you have a preference between the two? They are very similar and I'm curious if you favor one over the other or use them both for different tasks.

@@MarkHoudePhotography I really like the AI version, but I'm not sure if you should compare the 2 programs with each other. Because they are different in terms of structure and workflow. Luminar AI is definitely more stable than the Neo version. In certain works, AI is also better, but Neo is great anyway, it just has functions that AI doesn't have. However, I am sure that Neo will get better and better over time. I use the AI version for certain tasks and the Neo version for other tasks and everything elseI i do in Photoshop. I've found that I'm just a lot faster.

Curious if the extensions work with Neo as a plug in or do you have to use it as your primary edit tool?

I’ve been wanting to explore this Darrell, but I’m having network issues when trying to use Luminar as a plugin from Lightroom. I keep all my images on a Synology NAS and that seems to be the issue at the moment. That said, I don’t believe the extensions can be used as plugins if that’s what you were referring to.

@@MarkHoudePhotography Thanks yes that’s what I was referring to. LR is my primary editor and I’m not ready to give that to Luminar. I’m glad they are pushing industry though. Keep the big guys innovating.
