Why FOCUS support guys not recommend coil spring shock on this ebike? I got this answer "We strongly advise against using a coil shock on the Jam² SL as it is likely to cause damage to the frame.". Why Focus presenting the Jam² SL with coil spring shock in this video, while on other side, officially don't recommend coil spring shock on that ebike? What is the truth?

We understand your confusion. Changing components on e-bikes is complex due to legal implications. E-bikes are thoroughly tested to meet safety standards, so we can only approve parts from the original specifications, like a higher spec shock from the Jam² SL. We cannot recommend changes outside the original spec. The bike in the video was modified at the rider's own risk, and we're sorry for missing the disclaimer in the video. Changing to a coil shock could damage the frame and void the warranty. The RockShox Vidiv shock hasn't been tested, so we can't officially approve it. Hope this makes sense, and apologies for any confusion :)
