I’m just a new believer, i’m a Muslim before, but praise the lord Jesus touched my heart through this actor, and now I’m still learning and want to find out about who is Jesus, but every time I see you guys judging each other in comments and makes me so confused , which religion I should follow ?? Where is the truth??? and that’s just makes me don’t believe in any religion, and now I think I don’t have any religion!!! but I only believe and follow Jesus !!! I’m Found First of all, praise God for you being found in Him, being one of his adopted sons (or daughters?) now! I can empathize with this frustration and want to encourage you by saying that Matthew ch. 7 has some great input on this, and in verse 16, God's Holy Word states, "You will recognize them by their fruits." If you see someone who is a professing follower of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but their behavior belies this claim, please know that they are either not a true follower, or they are sinning. In both cases, and especially since I do not know these people personally, I pray for these people... I pray for their salvation, I pray that our Lord will be glorified in all things and that they will be convicted of this very public sin of attacking a brother in Christ (if indeed, they are a fellow Christian). Please do not allow the devil to discourage you by causing you to question Christ's church, His beloved bride, for whom he purchased with his blood. As followers of Christ, we must love his people, and also our enemies. In both cases, whether we are dealing with believers who are sinning, or unbelievers, may I simply encourage you to pray for these individuals, and to pray that our Lord be glorified in all things, including within the context of how we live out our lives and treat one another. My dear brother or sister in Christ, I am going to send up a prayer for you right this very moment that you will take heart and know that the Lord sees your pain over these things and he appreciates the love that you have for him. I pray that you will be strengthened, encouraged and protected from the evil one, as our Lord Jesus Christ taught us to pray in Matthew chapter 6. "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 - "For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do." - Hebrews 6:10 --- *May* *you* *be* *blessed* *by* *God* Everything you said about love is correct. Hold to that and please do not be deterred by the actions of others. But please make prayer and Bible reading your daily bread ---> in other words, you live by these things, just as Christ did. He is our mediator and we follow his the examples of his practices. 1) Make yourself extremely familiar with God's word and take it in daily. Memorize scripture and hide the treasure of God's word deep in your heart. 2) Go to God in prayer for everything. Thank him, praise him, adore him, ask him for comfort, strength, direction, wisdom, on and on and on. Catholic Church has become a shell of itself... the church I grew up with isn’t the same, it’s not engaging and some mass’ there’s barely any piano or music, it’s just dead and boring ugh. When I was little it was so beautiful the music the preaching etc. One more thing I dislike are the changes.. “And in your spirit” uh what happened to “peace be with you and also with you”? Why change it. Sigh I’m a lapse Catholic finding my way back and it’s not hard remembering why I slacked off to begin with.

cha53z I don't know what your diocese is like, but try to find a cathedral. I find that they tend to have more traditional/liturgical music. But I've also found a fantastic community at the Newman center near where I go to school and they use a piano and a few other instruments. If you're able to go, SEEK 2019 is in Indianapolis and is about bringing people (families, college students, anyone can go) into the Catholic faith. SLS changed my life.

I am sorry to read that you are having trouble coming 'home'. The changes that you speak of are simply the English version of what we oldies used to say when it was all in Latin, but we would say the Latin and read the English on the other page. Much easier now. As to the music and preaching, it is there, but we are encourage to go where we will be fed. Don't stay in your parish if it isn't doing this, search until you find the parish that feeds you. It is there, and waiting. God, I love this man. If you look into his eyes, you see that there's something there that many people don't have. He's a very special man. I wish I had someone like him in my life. A weak actor and a psychologically superficial film. The screenwriter knows nothing of human psychology like Dostoevsky and with silly catch phrases throughout the film. Edmond's resentment corrupted him and he became almost the personification of the demon in the novel as in real life with the saint olga of Kiev who started a bloody revenge.

Yes, it's about faith, but Religion (i.e. the Church) teaches and guides man, so Church (Religion) is quite important. It cannot be argued that Jesus established his Church on earth. It further cannot be argued that this Church is the Catholic church (I'll admit that debate on Eastern Orthodox and Roman are still abound, but with time I believe that will resolve those two separations back into unity). The Church that Jesus founded is protected by the Holy Ghost. Large miracles and prophesy continue to outpour from this same Church today (Lordes, Guadalupe, Fatima, Garabandal to name a few) - this is God acting through the one and true church and not another. Additionally the Centuries of study, examination, learning, teachings of the Catholic Church is unsurpassed by any one body in any field today and it teaches us the timeless message of God. Yes, the Church is led by man, therefore men of the Church have, do, and will continue to error, but the outpouring of goodness from the Church far outweigh it's evils (and I will admit there is still large evil in the Catholic Church today - but this is men of the cloth who have turned away from the Church while still thinking they promote it). All other churches have schism-ed from the Church that Jesus founded, which fundamentally make it difficult for those Churches to teach the true meaning. I admit that do see much goodness in those schism-ed Christain churches, but I also see they fall short of the full teachings of God and also far short of the Grace that comes from the teaching and ceremonies. The two large schisms of all non-Catholic churches come from Luther or Henry. Research why they left the Catholic Churc and you will find large fault in the reasons of separation, and thus fault in it's fundamental foundation. Us Catholics ask kindly and humbly to please scrutinize the Catholic Church's teachings and practices, inquiry truly as much false witness have occurred against the Church throughout the past 500 years.. We feel you will find the Catholic Church closer to what Jesus wanted than any other Church.

That's a misunderstanding. Mary and the Saints are part of our family. The "Catholic" term was used back in the first century, meaning in Greek, "according to the whole" church. When the bishops appointed by the apostles addressed the regional churches, they used this term. So, it's not like Catholic is just some religion, it's a term describing the christian church as it was known in it's universal scope very early on. Given that we are all united in Christ, in his body the Church, which we are all members of, we pray to God for each other. Just like you may ask a friend to pray for you, we ask Mary and the Saints to pray and intercede for us, because we are all in it together. One body in Christ.
