"Implicit as an organismic texture that can be created further (the texture has the possibilities of life-furtherness that you do not yet know) If a person can touch the implicit movement, that's where there's hope... Implicit is always relational... Splitting the cognitive from the affect was a mistake to begin with" Such a humane way of experiencing a person as a movement that hasn't happened yet, not as an is-concept🙏

Hi Dad, Perhaps this video of Lynn Preston, who first introduced me to Focusing in a seminar after 9/11that she gave at Gouverneur on working with trauma , in which she interviews the philosopher/psychologist Eugene Gendlin, who developed Focusing, discuss what he means by "the implicit' will make a little clearer what all of this is about. I think it could be useful in thinking about historical concepts and really any kind of creative original thinking. Love, Charlie

Applying Gendlin's process model to history is fascinating.

Seriously good stuff but I'm not sure the world's ready to hear it atm. Would love to be taught this by Eugene.

I really wish he was simply asked right at the beginning, "What is the implicit?".
