@@wanderingwhere excited for the Kia:) btw I found out my pancreantitus acted up and made me pretty much diabetic I went to the emergency room on my day off tuesday, so that's why I've been down, so I should be working on the vent this Tuesday I have a new design that's like a sort of basket that clips onto the inside of the widow itself and holds the fans and the vent hood. It's going to have to be light weight, do you have disposable turkey baking tins to use as a vent hood in the U.K.?

I think the bird was a lapwing sometimes called a peewit, it makes a call similar to your description and the shape of it flying looked like one. A ring ouzel is more like a blackbird in looks and call.

Camped these moors for two nights in a tent, never again. I’ve camped for years, however, the noises I heard there really creeped me out
@valwright9871 Жыл бұрын
Tell us more as it fascinates me what noises you heard. I stand in my garden stargazing and sometimes I hear a bird do a burbling kind of call. That though is ok.

@@valwright9871 hi Val, on those moors, in was camping with my son in a tent. The first night was ok, a mist rolled in enveloping the tent, creepy, and silent. In the night we heard steps around the tent which we put down to animals. However, on the second night in was awoken about 2am, and as crazy as it sounds I could feel something was near us, at which point what I can only describe as a woman laughing in a hysterical sinister way. I find it difficult to describe, I’ve heard foxes, cats, badgers in the past but nothing like this. I’m not a nervous camper, in fact I’m more fascinated by these things, however, this scared me
@valwright9871 Жыл бұрын
@@graham1155 oh my creepy goodness. That is a bit too scary. I blooming hopenit wss a prankster. Can you imagine if we had bigfoot screams etc or Bobcat shrieks. Appreciate you telling me. I expected you to hear Foxes cos they have a range of sounds. Wow. If you still camp you are brave.
@graham1155 Жыл бұрын
@@valwright9871 it was weird, I’ve driven across those moors in the winter and it is a creepy place in the dark . I’ve asked many people what they thought it may have been, no idea. However, just to add a creepy twist to this, I used to work as an agency nurse, and a lady was brought in having been found barely conscious by the side of the road. I got chatting to the lady and she told me that she travelled the country by foot, and would sleep under trees in forests away from people. I was told that she had heard weird sounds at night, and when I described what I had heard, she stopped what she was doing, looked at me and with a serious look said she had heard something similar once and it was the only time she felt scared……… weird

Mate....I hope all this Lamb and animal/nature stuff is convincing you a teeny bit to go Vege again.....As I've said before, I'm sure it would bring even more people to your channel. Top video again. The way you talk to the camera in the style of like you are talking one on one with someone out on the trail with you is what makes your style even more unique to me. You are bonkers though and that's what keeps me coming back, I feel I'm not the 'norm' myself and thats a good thing in this way I think, dunno, maybe, yeah, sure it is! Don't change bud, your style is natural and brilliant, I also think you would be wicked in a 'ghost hunting' type one off video... I write for a horror channel and have been thinking about writing a story with a 'fictitious' version of you in it...Stay happy man.

The bird you saw was a Lapwing! They give a ‘peee-wit’ call, which they’re also known as (Peewit), especially in Leicestershire (where I’m also from). Ring Ouzel are much smaller and pretty silent and are very easily spooked, so not easy to see.
@wanderingwhere Жыл бұрын
sounded amazing tbf espcially up there alone on the moors, pretty special
@hauntofthecollector Жыл бұрын
@@wanderingwhere used to be a very common sound, especially in rural Leicestershire! I lived at a place called Lount, just outside Ashby de-la-Zouch, and we would get flocks of Lapwings in the fields right outside our house every morning! Because of agricultural methods, they’ve become quite a rare sight now (Lapwings nest on the ground), and they’ve been pushed into further and further more wild reaches. Ring Ouzel (which a migratory to the UK) are a very ‘wild’ species of bird and will only be found in barren and unpopulated areas! I now live in Shropshire and we get good numbers here around the hilly areas in the south of the county. I recommend you get yourself the Collins Bird Guide if you’re wanting to brush up on your knowledge of UK birds, as it’s the best bird guide out there! But, it’s is very in depth and covers a huge number of species! I’ve been a birder since a kid and have always had a huge passion for birds! Thank you mate for the getting back to me, appreciated matey 👍🏻

Great vid as usual but as I've motioned before, and to warn anyone think of doing the same thing. You are riding an illegal e-bike. If you get pulled by the police on your E-Bike they check and find its been de-restricted. say a spot check, which they are doing in some areas, you are riding an un-registered Motorcycle and the penalties are the same. bike taken and crushed, Fines, and you could lose your driving licence, Max motor allowed is 250w and the motor must cut out at 15.5mph, (25kmh) Just Saying.

@@rightasrain7949 If you google, UK E-Bike laws, the go to the Gov site its all there. Also you have to be at least 14yrs old to ride any legal, electrically powered vehicle. That falls in line with seat belt laws, any anybody above 14, its their reasonability to wear on.
