I'm a Croat and I met an Englishman who moved into my village. I was absolutely SHOCKED he did what he did, and while he did marry a girl from the village who went to work in London (where they met), I couldn't wrap my head around HIM moving HERE, not HER moving THERE. Felt insane. Then he started talking and omg... Yeah, I can see why my little village of 500 people and 2 bears is WAY more appealing than a street of criminals, thugs, kids who rob you and drug addicts you find half dead in front of your building. Thing is, you guys are very welcome to our Slavic lands... But you should take your own country back, not flee.

I am a Polish bloke living in the UK since 2003 and love this country like my own, basically embraced a British ways of life with open arms, but if I wasn't running my own business and had a good income I would be looking to go back to Poland. Not sure if I could live there as every time I visit Poland I miss the UK but the living conditions, housing situation and non existence of illegal imigrants who have no respect to "the hosting country's culture" is certainly something that would help with soothing the pain. I realy hope something will change in Britain but the future isn't looking good. All the best to my British folks 🇬🇧💔🇵🇱

@britinpoland2392 the thing is, US is a completely different reality to Europe and the Brits due to years of prosperity and leading the world in technology and financial sector are reluctant to change. US is still a powerhouse, UK is not anymore and new reality requires new approach. I don't think society as a whole have grasped the full extend of a shite we're in just yet, let's hope it won't end up like a British car and motor industry, which seized to exist due to management incompetence and...reluctance to change to new market requirements and admiting that "others" may know better than we do and we should follow suit. The only exception was a Triumph, the only British manufacturer still in British hands, all thanks to the British businessman who bought the brand when it collapsed, put the "British pride away", send the engineers to Japan to learn from the best and now Triumph give people jobs and make grear bikes again. This however requires complete change of mindset and that's hard to do on a national scale. Britain is like a old school businessman who was successfull for years and he thinks he's a dogs bollocks, and even though he's business is not profitable anymore and require changes he doesn't care as ..."he is the dogs bollocks"...living off his savings, spending like he used to before and there's no way anyone can convince him otherwise... Let's hope this old man will open his eyes before it's to late 🤞🏻 All the best brother and say hi to Poland 🇵🇱💔🇬🇧

I’m a Pole leaving in the UK for 20 years now. This country has changed enormously in recent times. I see people displaying a lot of antisocial behaviours, the COOP in front of my apartment is being robbed every day, junkies sit on my stairs and make a mess. Police do absolutely nothing about any of this. The standard of leaving has dropped and so has safety. Every time I travel to Poland I feel so relaxed and I feel I can breathe again. I’m moving back to Poland in a couple of months and I cannot wait.

The question is, how many people actually do something about it. Moaning and grovelling with inaction (because it's up to the politicians to sort the country out) has become a national habit. Few campaign, few lobby the government, (by joining Labour for instance and promoting their policies). A huge minority don't even bother voting and then wonder why a party they don't like achieves a massive majority (I support labour myself but many of the people who are complaining about them don't even vote themselves). Everyone that is interested in politics is busy concentrating on fundamental disagreements they have with each other, instead of coming together to discuss as a population how we can achieve change. A house divided will fall.

@@ecaeas4439 Agreed, and I support the simple production of online content to further people's awareness. If you can make inroads with people socially that's great. Maybe it depends where you live... but that's a bigger ask. I've just spent 5 months at local council meetings trying to figure out where their heads are at... and done the same with local groups that are socially trying to 'change things'. I think they're all rather debilitating so I'm very socially disenchanted these days. I can deal with doing a lot without financial backing... but usually even any social sanction or support - or simple attention - is lacking. Just go ahead and create your own projects... but don't expect or require any backing from anyone necessarily. Also it's better to do something positive fairly irregularly than burning yourself out on a single project and wind up ditching it over a matter of months, or a few years... particularly if you're also busy making ends meet in other areas of your life.

If Elon hadn’t bought X, the. I would agree. I think there is a slither of hope. The first hurdle is getting Labour out… and Elon is piling on the pressure and putting the spotlight on their contempt to the natives. Sadly we will need a firm hand to turn the tables in the UK, and some ‘good’ immigrants from 3rd world countries will sadly be affected, but we do need mass deportations and a complete ban on Islam being practiced within the UK. Immigration within the Europe is fine, especially when 2 countries share the same values like UK and Poland in many cases. I know that people like You will be a positive addition to our society here in Poland, and that's why You are welcomed. The problem starts when this is uncontrolled immigration from countries that have completely diffrent values to ours and the are usually a burden to the society. It looks however that this is by designe in the case of UK, something much bigger is brewing up.

I moved to Poland with my Polish wife and son in 2018 because of the cost of living and because I was having difficulty progressing my career as priority was given to women and BAME for promotions despite being told I was perfect for the higher roles (the company I worked for also regularly promoted that they wanted more women and people from BAME). My wife joked that I should have become trans to get promoted which sadly would have actually helped my chances. We would have been stuck struggling if we stayed, the house we were renting had problems with black mould which made my son ill and put him in the hospital. The landlord blamed us for the mould despite previously saying it wasn't our fault and tried to take our deposit to "paint the walls which were suffering from the mould". Moving to Poland allowed us to purchase our own flat and we were lucky enough to have it renovated for a TV show, we have never had problems with mould here. Our flat is always warm in winter, my in-laws detached house is also warm in winter but when I visit my parents it's always freezing in their house in winter (I think they are afraid to put the heating on). My son is autistic and he was diagnosed at a very young age and has been receiving really good levels of help in Poland but from what I hear in the UK he would still be waiting for a diagnosis. We even get more money in the child benefit equivalent here. I had problems with the UK passport office when I tried to renew my son's passport, they messed up and blamed me for it, I complained and they said everything was now actually OK but they wanted me to pay again! We decided to get him a Polish passport to travel on instead, we went to an office in the town, paid a fraction of the cost of a British passport and it was ready in 2 days! When I'm visiting my family (in Kent) it smells of cannabis everywhere I go. Most shops in the town are empty/boarded up, everything is dirty, the buildings look neglected and it is so depressing. I live in a small town here in Poland and there are no empty shops, there is a shopping centre which looks modern and everything is clean and looked after. People in Poland are always shocked when I say how bad it is in England and think I'm exaggerating.

In my early 20s, after completing my A-levels, I had a chance to go to University to study engineering but chose not to. This was mainly because of the evil tuition fees Blair introduced. I regret not getting my degree because if I had, the chances are I wouldn't be still living in this cess pit of the UK. @@britinpoland2392 Yes, if you have a recognised qualification in TESOL, which today will cost you over 1000 pounds as well as a university degree, which he has not as he chose not to go to university. Some tin-pot countries such as Vietnam might take non-graduates but countries such as Poland are more or less certain to demand a university degree for work visa reasons. Also, there are other problems working for small private schools such as the lack of a pension and one-year contracts and I have heard of English teachers overseas (including in Poland) who are overworked and exploited. You might earn a good local salary but house prices are soaring in the U.K. meaning you return after some years of working overseas only to find that you are priced out of the local housing market. Even in Poland, you too have problems as you have not passed a B1 language examination to prove your knowledge of the Polish language so you too are vulnerable to certain external factors. Mind you, I sometimes wonder why I stick this pointless life in the U.K. as I have a university degree, a TESOL certificate, a Polish language B1 certificate, as well as a Polish wife meaning that a move to Poland should be quite easy.

Lived in Poland for 19 years now and there's no way I'd return to the UK to live despite family and friends there who I miss (tho' I appreciate the fact it's easy to catch up with them all through various apps and so on), and certain facets and food. I go back regularly enough anyway, but always feel better about returning home to Poland and my life here just outside Krakow. While I think cost of living has increased dramatically here in recent years, this is still balanced out by many things simply being more affordable and, for me personally, all the wonderful things I love about Poland and the people here. It's also a safe country and I believe you touch on some of the reasons why that is and why Polish people want to keep it this way. I enjoy meeting people from other countries and cultures as well (like, I feel, many of us do), but Poland seems to be very good at safeguarding its position on this matter. People here are open to others, and it's telling that there's a growing Indian and Bangladeshi population I've not heard anybody say anything against (and I meet a lot of Polish people in my job). I've also asked Indians, etc. how they feel here and have heard no complaints beyond those working in restaurants bemoaning drunken abuse but, unfortunately, that comes with the terrain and is conducted as much by tourists as the people here. I have never witnessed this, though. In fact, I've only ever seen five fights in Krakow (excluding one I saw between football hooligans and the police years ago!) and one of those involved Brits! Nothing like the seaside town I lived in when in England, where fights/anger/tension filled the atmosphere from Thursday evening to Saturday evening each and every week. I still feel that in the air every time I return to the UK as well. Whatever, I could drone on infinitely about everything I love about Poland and why I far prefer it to the sinking ship that is the UK. It's not perfect here and I'm not naive or stupid enough to attach some kind of utopian vision to any country, but for now Poland's certainly doing something right. Long may it continue.

The gradual, ever-accelerating decline of the UK appears to have been deliberate, not insane - if you assume all that administered social misery and chaos is actually a desired outcome, things seem a lot more logical, if grimly - one summons chaos so that the old, native culture is eradicated, to be replaced by a rootless, monitored and managed collection of displaced persons - Ordo Ab Chao...

@@britinpoland2392 For a start, it is much easier for a country like America to maintain social and economic dominance over weak countries that are multicultrual. The U.S. hates countries such as North Korea, Cuba and Iran as just a few examples as they are strong and homogeneous. They prefer a country such as the present day U.K. multicultural, with different enthnic groups all celebrating their own forms of 'Christmas' on different days. It is now almost impossible for any strong leader to drive a United Kingdom in any extreme fashion or direction and I think this is the key to why it suits a country like the U.S. to have weak and docile countries around the world. Enoch Powel once said during the Second World War that ''the United States was in the war to see an end to British Colonial rule just as much as it was there to see an end to German dominance in Europe.'' In fact, it is very much how England dominated India during the empire days, 'divide and rule.'
@kotlin8798
@kotlin8798 8 күн бұрын
@@britinpoland2392 it has nothing to do “eradicating native culture”. it’s called the decline of an empire. The United States usurped the UK’s position as the strongest power in the world, and more importantly, the central economy. And, unlike France, the UK wasn’t able to hold onto resource rich countries in the periphery (Africa, Asia, or South America). So it can’t draw economic gain from neo-colonialist policies when it needs stimulus. (Even France is losing its grip here) Now you Brits get to fight and grasp at straws over an ever shrinking pie as politicians and billionaires take the bulk of the once-upon-a-time prosperity. Your government isn’t a government. It’s a collection of people making a desperate attempt to get what’s left by any means necessary. Allowing mass immigration was a wonderful idea to 1. Increase economic growth short term, 2. Cause socio-political instability to distract people from the real issues at hand, and 3. Cause people to fight one another instead of the ones in power who are taking everything out of the country. I’d be lying if I said I felt sorry.

Czekamy w domu czyli w Polsce.

They may well be able to regularly make up the extra hours and make full time wages, which would be just above minumum wage, but those full time hours are not guaranteed. This makes it almost impossible for the people who stock our shelves to live in even a single bedroom flat without a partner or another job. Out of 5 people that went to school together and are now approaching 30, only 2 of us have even managed to rent a place and we've all been continually empolyed sinced our early 20s This is how wars happen

Many people in the UK voted for Brexit because of the perceived expensive and inefficient bureaucracy but overriding that for many was Merkel's non-democratic decision to invite a huge number of people to come over to that were from such a different culture predominately structured through their religion. We already had enough of these cultures in the UK. Ironically, the UK governments just followed the WEF agenda and flooded the country with both legal and illegal disparate cultures to a point where we have had and will in the future have more civil unrest.

American expat in UK 2016-2021. Very fair assessment. Most Brits lead a rather difficult life. The combination of runaway living expenses (rent, utilities, council taxes), petrol, public transportation and now grocery prices is driving down the quality of life for the average working class. Throw in a growing tyrannical government that is good at only two things; finding new ways to tax people and intimidating people from speaking out. It is time for the British people to unite against both the Tories and Labor and free themselves from these two corrupt institutions. In America, we've done just that. We've rejected our Party of Stupid and Party of Destruction and put our support behind a non aligned candidate like Donald Trump in the hope he can put a stake through the heart of our Three Headed Snake (Old Guard GOP, Entire Democrat Party and Mainstream Media) destroying America.

My grandson asked me what I thought the future has in store for us, I told him that millions of people will come to this little island that he has been born into. People that have come from vast swathes of land, thousands of miles larger than our small island. Our land will be destroyed, to be covered in concrete and cheap houses which quickly fall to pieces. We will starve for the lack of land to farm on...........then the incomers will leave us, to make a 'better life' for themselves elsewhere, we will be left to starve, no one will give toss that we are starving. But you, lovely boy will be the generation that will build and repair the chaos and the destruction. It will take many years. And those who have abandon our little island must never be allowed to return again. Nan, he said " that sounds just about right". He knows, he gives me hope.

As a fellow 'Brit in Poland' I share and echo your views on the current state of our once great country. Things began to go downhill in the 1990s during the Blair New Labour government years and the slide has continued ever since. You used the word "insane" to describe many of the current situations in the UK. Sadly, this insanity will continue to develop until there is the possibility of voting out Starmer and his Socialist/Trotskyite colleagues sometime towards the end of the decade.

@@simpix7683 You all don’t understand. On Oct 8th, the attack on Israel, was planned by both Hamas and Netanyahu. The Mossad are sponsored by the CIA, and have been since the 60s. Netanyahu, initiated “The Hannibal Directive”, which is where the Government agrees, that it is necessary to sacrifice its citizens for ‘the greater good of Israel’. Hamas had practiced this invasion, yearly, since ‘Lockdown’ in 2020. There were no defenses present on Oct 8th, on the most guarded wall on the planet. On Oct 9th, the Hamas European Leader held two duplicitous Press Conferences, one after the other, to first Western MSM, then Eastern and Arabic MSM. He agreed with the West that it was a cause for concern and in true Taquiya capricious fashion, celebrated the complete opposite with Al Jazeera. And J D Vance, confirmed four months ago, that the USA considered the UK, as a Caliphate. So…we have been mightily hoodwinked by our Conquerors, who have played the ‘Race Card’ since I was at University with ‘The usual suspects’, beginning in 1990, courtesy of Thatcher, and re-affirmed by that other Globalist, Fifth Columnist: Blair. Many British people resent any immigrants at this point. They've been voting to lower immigration for 30 years and instead they just keep getting more and more. I am sure if you had arrived in a UK with sensible immigration policy, people would have been far more welcoming. You welcome guests in your home, but not 500 of them uninvited. It doesn't matter if the 501st is a really great person, you're going to be upset with them trying to get in.

immigrant is a word that references the the INCOMING of the person as significant. More used by those already living in the country to describe the new arrivals than it is by those who have come in to the new place. Ex Pat is a word used by those who are outside of their own country and yet remain primarily identified with the country from which they came more than the new country. It is actually from a latin phrase "expatriate" and was popularised amongst the military and civil services of the British empire who were stationed around the world but felt themselves out of their home country whilst in service.

"Expat" often seems to imply that the person is of a nationality that they see as superior to the country they've moved to - I tend to see those from the UK and US using the term most. "Immigrant" implies it being an open ended timeline, yes, as well as a move motivated by better opportunities (as seems the case with the OP). I'm an immigrant to Poland from the US (with both citizenships). I used the term expat early on and realized it was a mindset of staying apart from the culture - an extended tourist - but that shifted when it became clear that this was really 'home'.

It was very painful to watch your spot-on summation of the decline of Britain, a country no sane person would ever want move to unless it was to game the system. I left the UK in 1987 when I was tweny-seven with two thousand pounds in my pocket. Fortunately I have done ok, having lived most of my adult life in the USA and Australia. I always missed my family and the Britain I had left behind and in a bout of mental derangement decided to return in 2019. Big big mistake, I immediatley felt foreign and uncomfortable in what I thought was my own country. I have tried to adjust to the misery but Commandant Starmer being elected was the last straw, and now I'm counting down the days to 9th February and a one way ticket to south-east asia.

Similar situation here. I moved to Sweden in 2012 and had the time of my life. Built a life for myself, was easily accepted by the local community, developed my career, bought a massive house for peanuts ina beautiful part of the town I was living. Since coming back to UK after my Swedish girlfriend's request (she likes the culture, humour and some of the pretty towns) in 2022, my life has completely fallen apart. I've lost over £50k in savings from the dale of my house in Sweden in just under 2 years living here, as we are constantly being screwed over by UK businesses and government, plus the impossible cost of living. What's mad, is I earn very well (over £100k), and I don't get to keep any of my earnings if I wish to maintain a similar standard of life as I got used to in Sweden. Anyway, same as you, planning on moving back this year and will never want to return to this hellscape again.
