right? I was at the A's fireworks, somebody asked "do you think it'll be like this in SF? I have fam on their way there..." I just said... "well, you never know, but im going to guess with our high clouds, there's probably fog on that side." and a few of us locals tried to explain how the fog works, in from the sea and all... lol looks like we were right. idk I hope it still looked cool through the fog.

@@kmore2766 nah its just frisco the fog has a mind of its own haha especially the westside of the city AKA the avenues. You can drive up to Marin and novato and its always sunnier I guess not everyone knows san francisco is foggy AF i find it hilarious tho. I remeber i had a friend from europe visit and I showed them the golden gate bridge and it was so foggy they literally couldnt see it. Some reason people assume the bay is like Baywatch and everyone is surfing in bikinis lmao.

I've seen the fireworks shows all the way back in the 60's when they use to shoot them off near the Marina greens. I can only remember maybe 2 July 4th celebrations where there wasn't fog and you could actually see the fireworks display!!!!!!!!!!! That's SF for ya!!! 👍😆

the funny thing is... its literally just absolutely normal SF weather. yes, it will be foggy in July. same with NYE fireworks. why bother? idk but ppl keep going, and somehow this is still news... lol. I think they would look cool through a foggy sky, the colors bouncing around... but I dont bother going lol. I stay on "the Sunny Side" lol Oakland fireworks all night/no fog. And the Oakland A's did a fireworks show tonight at the coliseum too, fans on the field and all, that was dope.

I always tell people that San Francisco is not a good place to see the fireworks since it's always foggy and cloudy there. But people still go there just to see the flash in the coastal fog there. I think San Francisco should just stop doing fireworks completely since it's just a completely waste of time and money.

San Francisco is very different from Los Angeles. Los Angeles is always warm and sunny, while San Francisco is always cool and cloudy. I wouldn’t have minded the fog, though.

The professional fireworks was a bit of a bust, but the crowds were fun and the street fireworks made up for it. Perhaps the professional display should just use low altitude mortars or we need a way to control the weather

I live in Crescent City, Del Norte County, fog is a given. People from Medford, Oregon could care less as they usually experience heat waves. One person commented that it reminded her of Star Spangled Banner
