And now this upload in itself is 10 years old.. where does time go.. FP1, still a rare and beautiful bike. Iconic in the States have had a few..

Malaysian first and last greatest and rarest superbike ever. Petronas FP1. With 150 unit ever made and its actually few have been and Petronas kept some at secret warehouse in England about 60 unit only.
@rypRSR12 жыл бұрын
2003 season James Haydon was the sole rider for Petronas. In that season it retired a lot. Second season saw Troy Corser and Chris Walker. Then the last season Steve Martin rode it. Of all of the riders, Corser provided the best results but the bike wasn't in the ever a contender against the top funded/factory bikes. Key thing is that while others were running near 999cc engines, the FP1 uses a 899cc powerplant. For what it was, it was great to see.
@KennyKak7 жыл бұрын
Richard Perez problem is the superbike rules changed mid production letting them use 1000cc inline 4's totally out powering this bike. it was quick enough for troy to put on pole a few times but struggled in a fight due to its lack of power

Geez that sounded like crap down low, but once some revs are added that would have to be one of the best sounds I've heard. Glorious!

The clutch makes it sound like a bag of spanners, beautiful machine though but what I really remember is the flames coming out the exhaust on the overrun.

I made several of the carbon parts present on all the race and road bikes. My handwriting is on many of the job stickers imprinted within the parts (air intake duct, number plate holder, rear lighting upper and lower housing, and front hugger). It's always been my dream to ride it or at least see and touch one in the flesh. 1 day maybe...

Completely linear = completely dull and very boring
@mozer308 жыл бұрын
+TheJasongenova Or a very usable track weapon. I thought the same when i rode a ducati 748 many years ago. I nailed it and waited for the power to arrive, but it never did. Unfortunately we was on an old airstrip so never got chance to ride it properly, but it felt slow and boring compared to my GSXR 600. It would of been a very different story on track though.
