These cats were the ULTIMATE boogie band! I got to see them so many times, and in Savoy Brown as well back in the day. One night at the Hollywood Palladium I was watching Savoy Brown on the "Jack The Toad" tour, and Kim Simmonds brought on Lonesome Dave, Rodger, and Tone, and they played a mini set of SB tunes from back in the day, it was awesome! So SAD that so many of these boys are gone now but take it from somebody who was there for so much of this era, it really WAS a great time for straight ahead four on the floor BOOGIE!

Saw this tour live in Denver Colorado. They brought the house down. They absolutely rocked our freaking butt off. It was unreal. I’ve never been able to find a picture of the pair of “snake pants“ Dave wore that night, very cool, very unique. You had to be there. Decades later, I was running sound for a band in Golden Colorado, when Foghat came through. We didn’t play that night, and I managed to get Dave’s autograph on a copy of their first album. Treasure it to this day. RIP Dave. You are freaking amazing! The whole band is world class. I used to try to play the bass along with Tony Stevens. Everyone of them were total world-class musicians.
