Foghat - Lousiana Blues
Lonesome Dave Peverett
Rod Price
Tony Stevens
Roger Earl
(Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Foghat!)
I'm goin' to Louisiana, baby, behind the sun,
I'm goin' to Louisiana, baby, behind the sun,
I just found out my trouble's just begun.
I'm goin' to New Orleans, get me a mojo hand,
I'm goin' to New Orleans, get me a mojo hand,
Going to take you with me now
Goin' to show all you women, show how to treat your man.
Whoah yea
{Rod - Slide Solo}
Uh huh huh huh huh uh huh huh huh huh huh
If the river was whiskey, I was a diving duck,
If the river was whiskey, I was a diving duck,
I'd swim to the bottom, drink myself back up,
[go without you baby]
I'd swim to the bottom, drink myself back up.
You know I would!
I'd swim to the bottom, drink myself back up.
(Ow!)

Rod Price. The greatest electric blues slide player in shoe leather from England. i say England because Johnny Winter and Duane Allman are from the US and they are just as great. Rory G. from Ireland, let us not forget.

A real rock and roll band here, folks. Great musicians, great frontman, rocked hard, toured constantly, played good music that didn't take an acquired taste to like. Rod Price, the king of slide guitar. Lonesome Dave was this generations great bluesman as said by the likes of Muddy Waters and Willie Dixon.

"If the river was whiskey and I was a diving duck.. You know I'd swim to the bottom and drink myself back up" Classic Saw them 3 or 4 times every time they came to town. Snuck in some whiskey and some vodka. We had a blast.

Lonesome had it all together. The new fat man is so very good too, but I've always prefered The Bottle = Price. Originals Roger E. and Tony S. are exceptional! Mr. Earl has always been steady and there; a Mr Beat - laid just a little bit back. Tony had good substitutes, but hell he was the original bass. Thank you Dave Peverett! Born April 16, 1943; RIP 46+ in Feb 2000. FOGhat; wear one!

Foghat paid their dues and PROVED they were a real band. They toured constantly for over two years and NEVER had a top 40 single...actually they never released a single until their 3rd album (slow ride). So all the hip people followed them and went to all their concerts while the gen pop never heard of them THAT S payin your dues... not some Corporate bull s**t promo of a band that couldn t even play.......

+Von Ehman hi vohn no its roger earl he is current with the band and is the only original member remaining in foghat. they had switched bassists during 1 of there 70's albums and rod left in 80 i think then in 93 they regrouped and releleases the return of the bogeymen blues album in 94 then dave died in 2000.rod died in 05 so sad there were are amazing band .
