Growing up I received my fair share of ass-whupping....wasn't my favorite times spent with my mother, who applied a hefty belt to my ass (and, anyplace else it happened to land) However, in many ways, looking back on it, I was her 'favorite', was the eldest of five and recieved much less 'attention' then did either of my younger brothers.
