Hey Mike, you can do it on a rack over a pan or just right on the grill. I always like to use a drip pan but it is not required.

Just tried my 1st roasted chicken. Probably overcooked a little but it was good. New to the #BGE thing but am using Fogo premium AND the Blazaball came in today so had to use it. Fantastic experience. Now will take the leftovers and make a salas.

Looks wonderful! Quick question, when you added the seasoning I noticed the chicken was sitting on a wire rack in a pan. Why not just leave it on that inside the BGE? Seems to me it would make cleanup so much easier. Any downside to doing that? Thoughts? Again, thank you for your videos!
@FOGOcharcoal Жыл бұрын

That looks perfect! First off, I love Salamida products! Their Spiedie State Fair sauce is great, and has a cool history here in NY! If I'm hosting a summer dinner party, instead of 1 chicken, I'll get everyone their own game hen and then roast them. Makes for a fun night! And my "pro tip" for the chicken.... Take a lemon, stab it 1,000 times with a fork, microwave for about 30 seconds, and put into the cavity😉😉

Great chicken, only one thing, the Meater probe wasn’t inserted properly. There’s a line that’s indented on the probe. The instructions say that the line must not be visible. Your probe was approximately 0.5cm too far away from the chicken core.

I will watch for that in the future.
