Nice video, we have some f28 in our airforce. 1 flying and a 2nd is going and heavy maintenance. Long life to the Fokker.

Still a little sad how CP folded and their crews & planes scrapped by AC. Can't say I ever enjoyed riding in the back of the F28s but they sure were loved by their pilots. Thanks for posting this.

One of the few aircraft, and companies, that actually made money. I knew pilot who flew these and remember them telling me how economical they were.

I'm sure some of you already know that three are being saved. C-FTAV, s/n 11106 (Museum); C-GYCR, s/n 11050 (private); C-GTIZ, s/n 11099 (private). If anyone would be interested in helping the museum bring C-FTAV back on CYQL, please see our video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJ29nH-Qp6t9p7s (details in the description).

Great video. I'm currently building a 1/144-scale model of the 'Spirit Of Winnipeg', and the up-close views really help with the details. Thanks!

Such a shame to see a lovely aircraft like that being scrapped. They were a great little short haul jet. The only minor problem was they were just so bloody noisy. I use to watch them depart for airports on the east coast of Australia and they would be a good 100 Km's away before you couldn't hear them.

That’s a very sad sight shame one or two could not have been preserved in museums 👍

Could they be made to flyworthy condition?

@@flightforensics4523 that's true, live route story. I hope it to. I work on one at school! But its isn't complete. Right wing and tail are cut off. But I love her, also her bigger and younger sister the F100. The Dutch build F16 are way difficult to work on. It has no space at all!

Everything can be made airworthy, it's all about how much money you want to spend to do so.
