words do not describe just how much I want to see this thing fly. As someone who grew up reading about Smithy and the Southern Cross and seeing the real thing preserved in Brisbane, I will freely admit watching this replica start up brought a tear to my eye

Wonderfull aircraft , people forget there where some interesting planes between both world wars. Ps , they are close to get a rebuild fokker D21 aircraft its flight aproval certificate . it would be wonderfull to see both aircraft in the sky again .

D.XXI (D-21) was a great Fokker aircraft too. Especially the Finns were very successful with it and had a couple of 'aces' on that type of Fokker during the Winter War of 1939-'40.

@@Franky46Boy One of the few planes that could follow a stuka in a dive . One of the desingers also created the Koolhoven FK58 a moddel that was evolved from the fokker d21 . for the french airforce .and dutch airforce unfortunatly the aircraft never got their propper Gnome Rhone engines . and armaments during the invasion of france. Lucky the designer escaped and was part of the team designing the P47 thunderbold and if you compare the designs of all 3 aircraft they are basicly the same only evolved versions.
