Thank you so much! I've been searching for hours for a join method that made sense after failing, I don't know how many times. I saw your video and thought "there's no way it's this simple." Sure enough, with the right instructions, it really is . Please keep up the amazing work.

I've been trying everything I could find on joining 1st & last rings of a motif with NO luck. I tried yours and it worked on the first try and I say you are a genius. Big Thanks! Thanks for your video.

Thank you so much Marilee, this is the easiest method to join! Ho provato così tanti modi di chiusura con scarsi risultati, ma la tua spiegazione è stata semplice, diretta ed esteticamente molto bella e pulita. Grazie 🥰💝dalla Calabria, Italy

is a floating ring concidered a design element like a picot or is it counted as a ds, ?
@MarileeRockley

A "floating ring" is a ring that's coming from a chain, tatted using a 2nd shuttle. The reason for using the 2nd shuttle is so that the curve of the chain under the "floating ring" remains undisturbed. In a pattern, the double stitches of the chain would be counted up to the the floating ring, then the pattern would give the instructions for the floating ring. After that ring, the instructions would then give the number of double stitches for the next part of the chain. The floating ring doesn't "count" in the stitches of the chain, it's a design element "floating" off of the chain. I hope this makes sense.
