That was a pretty good hack for the vest. I'm partial to my old LC-2 harness and gear. Mine slips perfectly under my butt pack. If I was to not carry the butt pack, I'd try your hack, but with elastic boot blouses.

I can see how putting the shorter fold on the inside could help add a cushion for the small of your back when sitting in the harness. However, I would substitute a pair of simple straps (i.e., Coghlin's Sleeping Bag Straps) for the paracord to make it easier and faster to get it off if rain starts coming down heavy.

Lol lol yea NO should be rolled NOT folded and hood out!!! Makes perfect pocket tuck into then 3 to 4 boot bands hold it on to 782 gear can be adapted in MOLLIE system This guy is NOT grunt never saw combat and doubting if he ever severed Semper Fi!!!!!
