Already a correction: I say in the video that the newly formed VEB Schreibmaschinenwerk Dresden would exclusively make the Seidel & Naumann Erika, but this is inaccurate. They would also continue the production of the S&N standards.

Excellent and nice to see two machines not known to me as I have three Corona, I really enjoyed the video and will look at your other videos before deciding whether to subscribe. Just one small point, when folding the Corona, if you engage the fig an cap little lever, the carriage doesn’t lift and it lies flat, taking any strain from the machine. Regards David

Bel video.

The Albus, or perhaps better known as the Standard Folding No 1 and 2, would have been very cool to include, but for a number of reasons it wasn't mentioned in this video. Firstly it predates all these other models by 10 or more years. It was only really in production for 5 years before the company turned the model into the mass produced Corona 3, and wasn't really a huge success before the release of the 3. That said, it was the OG, so you are absolutely right that it should have been mentioned at greater detail here here. I do mention that the Corona 3 came after the Standard Folding 1 and 2, but it only briefly comes up. They only made up to around 12.000 Standard Folding/Albus machines so it's also hard to find them considering they are around 115 years old by now. As chance would have it, I have found one that I have a deal for and will hopefully successfully obtain it come later in the summer. I've also since this video received an Erika No 2, so perhaps it would be a good time to revisit, or simply make a "part 2" to this video with those models.
