Folk Chinese culture in Fushan village.

Today, I got to experience folk Chinese culture in Fushan village. There, they carry a statue of Matsu, the goddess of the sea, to bless each house. Matsu is revered by fishermen and sailors, and her birthday is a major festival in coastal areas. When the statue passed a home, people let off fireworks and burned yellow paper money, which represents offerings to the ancestors and the gods. It was a colorful and lively spectacle that I will never forget.
