Thanks so much Kate 🤗 I watch other makers rip into book pages from the 1700’s and cringe 😬 I hope you give the journal another go. Maybe try it with less precious materials. Hope you’ve had a lovely Christmas (SO thankful for rain and not fires this year!) and may the new year bring lots of inspiration and exciting projects xx

I love it! How did you paint the pink roses? The napkins with the deer, is fabric or decoupaged paper? Very, very nice!

Thank you so much Valy 🥰 I made the roses with celery! I was cutting a bunch for soup and when I cut the bottom off I couldn’t throw it away because it was so pretty. So I took an old stamp pad and used the celery root as a stamp. I hope I’ve explained that properly. The deer napkin was glued straight onto the fabric with matt medium but Mod Podge would also work. I have a few napkins left and would be more than happy to send you some if you like.

@@heyseaville55 Ok... the celery was the most unexpected answer! you need to make a whole video on it! Bet you many will be thankful to see that technique! And that includes me cause I was looking and looking and I could not figure out if it was a stencil or hand painted...you need to include those details in you videos cause that is what makes your work more especial, that extra mile in creativity and extra work that gives more sentimental value! If someone tells me that they cut the celery and envisioned a rose and took the time to translate it in to paper, I could be able trace back all the work and see with how much love it was made! and yes, I would love , if it is not much trouble to exchange napkins! I have a whole video of my collection. Let me know which ones you like!

@@valyart002 My apologies, I didn’t mean to take so long to reply ☺️ Thank you for the encouragement. I often think people have seen everything and don’t feel the need to explain the details, but you’ve shown me that’s not true. And to be honest, I’ve looked at that paper so often I forgot that I stamped it. I’ll have to make a video when I buy a new bunch of celery. It may be easier to arrange details via email or DM.
