This is mostly a myth. Modern Hungarians on average have less than 5% central Asian dna. Turkic tribes were very influential in their history and their political development, but did not leave a large genetic legacy. Somewhat similar story with the Bulgarians ...

could you explain how finno-ugric people who adopted mainly slavs customs, married slavs and are 90% europeans genetically - and christians - , can "share same ancestors and origins" with the inhabitants of this absolute melting pot (greeks, armenians, anatolians, central asians, kurds and so) that is Turkey ?
@Wolfcola237 ай бұрын
As a Turkish I can say we do not share same ancestors.Just check out the language families. By this logic Finnish people and Mongolians have same ancestors. Bul ..s..t
@time-machinezsoltis64662 ай бұрын
@@Wolfcola23The Hungarian language has nothing to do with the Finno-Ugric language family! This is an artificially generated theory from the Compromise period (Austro-Hungarian Monarchy). The name "Finno-Ugric" itself was born on the German model in the German minds of Hunfalvy and Budenz. The Hungarian language is much older than the Uralic languages, its origins are obscure. By the way, don't forget that the Sumerian cuneiforms were deciphered based on the Székely-Hungarian runic script! Today, runic writing is once again taught in Hungarian schools. So let's just say that the Finno-Ugric theory is bullshit. .... ... and linguists are not historians!
