This was amazing and helped me make sense of what I really thought was a story of heartbreak and deceit. It’s a deep love story between me and God, when I made it personal like that I felt embarrassed thinking of how many times I have turned to other lovers (Google, secular ideas and advise from friends) instead of just turning to Him. Thank you for helping me repent ❤❤

One of my all time favorite talks is one given by Henry B Eyring referencing Hosea. Mind blowing

In the talk above Henry B Eyring is referred to and it says April Conference, 1986 I think. It's in minute 29:42.

I have searched for the talk by Elder Eyring referencing Hosea but could not find it. It was not his April 1996 talk. When was this talk given?

I also can’t find this either, are we sure it was from Elder Eyring? Both talks he gave that year in General Conference don’t reference Hosea.

I have searched through the Show Notes and still cannot find references to when and where this talk was given other than in the transcript. I searched the Scripture Citation Index and cannot find any talks in which Elder Eyring speaks of Hosea. Was this a speech given by him in another forum or was this from a talk by a different speaker?

I think the story of Homer also teaches us that any hardships we go through are not the Lord's doing, or the Lord's punishment, they are simply the consequences of our choices and actions. The Lord has to allow us to experience them, but He does not cause them. It is not a "divine spanking".
