Bunny, I say this because I care... my aunt was in a car accident and lost her husband and son. They had their seatbelts on that way. They'd still be alive if they wore their seat belt the correct way. I don't think I ever knew them (I think it happened before I was born), but seriously. Please wear your seat belt the correct way. Just a random tip! If you’re out shopping and you’re using a cart, use the buckles and wrap them around your purse’s handles/straps and buckle your purse. So if a person were to try and grab it and run it won’t get stolen cause it’s strapped into your cart!

You aren't helping yourself by putting the shoulder harness under your arm because that is the part of the safety belt that will save you from going into the windshield during an accident. Plus, you'll go face first into your airbag when it deploys. And, that not only hurts, but may break your nose, or worse.

Bunny you shouldn't wear your seatbelt like that because if your seatbelt locks in an accident it probably will break your precious ribs from the pressure. That's why you wear your seatbelt over your shoulder so it's on your collar bone which is a much stronger bone than your ribs. Your collar bone has a much better chance of taking that kind of pressure without breaking it. Your ribs however, do not. Plus your ribs are protecting vital organs and them breaking via a seatbelt being worn wrong could cause damage to vital organs as well. Long story short, don't wear your seatbelt like that! They're designed the way they are for a reason.

Just a thing about safety belt, wearing it that way can harm you more in case of an accident. And can be fatal in more severe accident, that wouldn't be fatal if seat belt would be worn properly. Hopefully you won't ever need seat belt to work, but just in case do wear it properly.

Wearing your seat belt like that is not okay Bunny. I don't think anyone is mad at you for wearing it like that. You have to understand that if you're in an accident while wearing your seat belt improperly not only will the seat belt not protect you, but it can actually injure you. And if you're hit with enough force it is entirely possible that you would slip right out of the seat belt and be ejected from the vehicle. I don't mean to be graphic but I don't want to see you get hurt.

You are so right. It also could, and this may be graphic to imagine, sever your arm. Def Leppard Drummer had his arm severed in a car crash and they blamed the seat belt. No proof that he was wearing it the way Bunny does but that seems likely given it was severed at the armpit. So I really hope Bunny see this and starts wearing her seat belt the correct way.

Renee Leighton exactly. She can even do a simple experiment by seeing how wearing your seat belt properly makes it impossible for your head to hit the steering wheel when the belt locks up. But if the seat belt is behind your arm you can easily be thrown forward :(

My mom was thrown from the car when she was a child because there weren't seat belt laws. She's had to deal with dental surgeries her whole life and severe trauma to the front of her jaw. If seat belts had been enforced and she had been able to buckle up, none of that would have happened and thousands of dollars would have been saved. I think it's incredibly ignorant... even stupid... that anyone not wear a seat belt correctly. NO ONE is immune to the crippling effects of a car crash and wearing a seat belt right is the easiest way to avoid tragedy. Bunny mentioned before that she has anxiety and is somewhat of a hypochondriac. It baffles me then how she can knowingly wear a seat belt like this. It's as if she doesn't understand her own mortality. If I wore a seat belt that way I would be freaking out the whole time.

Sorry your mom had such trauma at such a young age. When I was 16 my Mom was driving and we had a head on crash, at low speed thankfully. But the car didn't have seat belts, it was made before they were required and the laws weren't tough enough to make people install them. I slammed my knee into the dashboard and even though I didn't break a bone I still have pain now, 45 years later. Seat belts keep people safe and prevent severe injury but only if worn properly. We all love Bunny and would be horrified if she got hurt. If her issue is the discomfort from it digging into your neck, there are products out there to prevent that. The very badly named Tiddy Bear snaps on the strap and makes it more comfortable. She could even do a "does this thing real work" segment and try out different products. I'd definitely watch that.

Jane Lawrence not enough if you ask me!! Seatbelts are there to be used in a certain way for a reason, if people can’t do that correctly then they should be fined! It’s something that could save your life so it’s not just a seatbelt. I am actually really disappointed in Bunny, she has a lot of young viewers and she’s advocating wearing her seatbelt wrong and dangerously.

I dont wanna scare you but I also want to inform you so idk. The reason it isnt recommended to ware your seat belt like that is cuz if you get in an accident rather than protecting you from the crash the belt will actually cut into your armpit causing further injury.
