Thats not English tea. That's milky water. We like our tea STRONG.
@maxc49876 жыл бұрын
aaron ballard if u American but tea is meant to have milk
@mike045356 жыл бұрын
@aaron ballard. Each person to their own taste. Replace "We" with "I" and remove the word "not" and replace "our" with "my" delete "That's milky water" and I would accept what's left of your comment. Do not suppose that when you comment that you are expressing the views of all of the English people.
@Brian-om2hh4 жыл бұрын
I know quite a few people who don't remove the teabag, but leave it in to drink it. Weak tea doesn't go down well here.......
@milkysue54962 жыл бұрын
yeah the only thing I could think is they poured the water and the milk in almost together, so it's still brewing. I only drink black coffee now, but I've only known a few people my entire life not to have properly strong tea

Travel south too! Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall - all really beautiful as well!

The UK has a lot more to offer than just London, on that we agree. But it doesn't make sense to state that the rest of the UK is "much better". It's like comparing apples and pears. And btw, the Lake district is not particularly cheap in terms of accomodation and food!

@@loueneu not 'particularly' cheap, no... but still a darn sight cheaper than London, so the point Matt N made was well founded.

The plural of 'Bed and Breakfast' is 'Bed and Breakfasts' NOT 'Bed and Breakfasses'! That toy sheep is a piss-poor representation of a Herdwick. Herdwicks have fleeces of brown or grey, and usually have white or grey heads. ( see: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herdwick ) If their wool was THAT white, it wouldn't be as difficult to sell. It's AIRA force, NOT Ira force. Bowness is pronounced Bow... (as in 'bow and arrow') ...ness, NOT Bow... (as in 'the front end of a boat') ...ness. The number of hours The Lake District is from London is hardly THAT relevent. I'm sure there are people living there, and who regularly visit there, who have no idea how far it is from London, because London is NOT the be-all and end-all of places in England
@citizenavatar7 жыл бұрын
tips... hire a car, drive the smaller roads for a great driving experience, DO NOT visit in high season because everyone does and you will be gridlocked. climb a hill, fell.

It’s Air-a force not Ar a force. Plus it’s The Lake District. That did not look like a good English tea. It was far too weak and with way too much milk.

1 - It’s THE Lake District and 2 - you don’t put jam on crumpets
@mike045356 жыл бұрын
@knightmare456. There is no law that says that you cannot put jam on a crumpet. If the lady wants to put jam on it then that is her choice and there is nothing wrong with that. You are allowed, if you so wish, to put marmalade or Marmite, ketchup, peanut butter HP Sauce or anything else that tickles your fancy on crumpets. Stop trying to dictate to people how they should eat their food. You do it your way and leave others to do it their way. Personally I just spread butter on mine because that's the way I like it, not because I think it is the proper way.

It's not Bowness as in bow down, it's as in Bow and arrow, pronounced Bo. And if you thought Grasmere Gingerbread was nice, try Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding........ Jeez, that tea looked weak (more like a fortnight actually). There is no way I could drink that! Oh, and there's one thing I haven't seen mentioned anywhere here so far, and that is the Lake District has now gained World Heritage Status....... If you do come, just make sure you are prepared for a change in the weather, because here in the Lakes we have Winter, which is then followed by 6 months of bad weather.......
