Thanks for posting all these SAR 109T videos, you are really the only in depth source of information about this firearm that I have managed to find. Small aside, does torching the threads affect the finish in any way?

No. Do you want to try to apply the heat as much as possible to the castle nut and the muzzle break. For disclaimer I am not a gunsmith or liable for any damages that may occur lol. However I did not experience any discoloration

I purchased my 109T because I have Colt 9mm and plenty of the stick mags. Figured they would be interchangeable. I have not found any of my colt mags that will work in the 109T. I also have a couple Pro Mag drums that will not work in the 109T. Did you do any modifications to your mag?

That is quite different from my experience. All of my C product and ACS magazines that are colt pattern function in both platforms. My 109T magazines function in my 635 as well. I have issues out of one magazine that is factory colt from 1994 that will not function in my 109t.

Hey man, I apologize if you've already mentioned this in your 109T videos, but is the barrel proprietary, or is a standard AR9 barrel compatible? I've seen so many mixed answers regarding parts and was wondering if you have some first hand knowledge on that. I've been told that the handguard isn't interchangeable, but obviously you've swapped yours a couple times without problems.

The upper has standard pitch threads for any barrel nut man. That being said, I would assume that a barrel swap would be easy- if the feed ramps are similar as the l09t- I havent looked into that as the barrel is great. But pistol grips, handguards, triggers, buffer tube/ castle nut is all interchangeable with milspec parts.

I ended up stripping one screw and started stripping a second then gave up. I'm wondering if a heat gun isn't enough. Might pick up a torch. Appreciate all the info. 🤟🇺🇲

Not a Smith here, but I had to use a torch

For a tip. If you attempt to use easy outs, drill the hole and then tap the easy out into the hole with a ball peen hammer and turn it with a wrench, don't use a drill.

When I search for quad rails, can I stick a ar15 quad rail on it?
@non_tactical_talor83532 жыл бұрын
Yes- free float only. Thread patterns are standard on the barrel but. So any appropriate length free float will work.

Does it take AR-15 charging handle, trigger, and AMBI safety selector?
@non_tactical_talor83532 жыл бұрын
Ambi safety for sure is doable. My Geiselle ambi works

Me too! I should have a decent mic in a while. Tbh never planned on doing any videos... So I'm learning man. ANY suggestions you have are welcome.

@@non_tactical_talor8353 The cheapest is a wired lapel mic or look for a wireless set for more connivence in movement. I still appreciate your videos, just wish the audio was better.
