LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But like so many of the movies I end up loving on this youtube channel, very little can be found about its actors on the internet. The leading man here, Michael Bartlett, does not even have a wikipedia entry. Just goes to show not everything is on the world wide web.

@e causey I never thought of going the gossip writer's route. What a good idea. Now don't chide me on the Public Library, though, because I still have my paperback edition of the New York Times' Guide to Library Reference Materials! But even so, it's not quite the same going to the library as it used to be. What is looking for things without card catalogs? If I were a millionaire I would have given a million dollars for the card catalog at the Fifth Avenue main library in New York when they went digital. Those drawers were 3 feet deep, and there were walls of them, and they were crammed front to back. Those were the days when we "let our fingers do the walking" through reference materials from the telephone book to card catalogs! Now our fingers "tip-toe" through the keys on the keyboard, but it's just not the same. There is no friendly reference librarian to help us structure our searches so that we do not get pages and pages of advertisements for tours to Tibet when all we really wanted to find out was what Heinrich Harrer said about how traditional Tibetan society changed from their winter to their summer wardrobes all on one day. But of course, I could have just gotten up out of my chair, and looked for my copy of "Seven Years in Tibet" and found it myself!

Pizza Flix! This is an open question: I’ve been trying to find one if my favorites. Film noir, visiting uncle/family friend (well known actor), young woman living in the family house. She wears cat’s eye glasses, there’s a carnival, the visiting uncle friend is trying to harm her. Her eyeglasses fall off onto the ground indicating he’s killed her. I have been searching for this film. I’ve watched it several times in the past, even took screen shots (now lost) and now can’t remember the name, and not the well known actor who played the bad guy, lead role. I’ve just rented Stranger in the House, it’s not this one, though similar. HELP!!

@@jaysky2000 Finally! Strangers on a Train, w Farley Granger is the creepy one and the girl with the cats eye glasses, a carnival, etc. It’s another Hitchcock. Shadow of a Doubt is with Joseph Cotton as the visiting uncle Charlie. Both fabulous hitchcock films. But Strangers on a Train is really my fav of the two. Enjoy!

The reviews in 1936 were not good for this film, one that comes to mind stated she has an ugly face. Maybe after that remark is why she never made another film?

LOL! I just skimmed through this one and never really noticed her face until you mentioned it and I went back to look and I wish I hadn't. Lol! I was trying to think of another adjective to describe her face...but I could only come up with "ugly" as well! Lol!
