I loved when at 5:30 Krahkiin gifted a sub to B1ackDi4m0nd - the same player you were watching and nobody in the chat nor you noticed :D Moment of appreciation for Krahkiin for the joke:D

keep doing these, they're more fun to watch than pro players. i also like how you don't try to humiliate or talk down to them and mention when they do good stuff for their level of play

I have to say I really like these low MMR play by play by grubby. It’s so refreshing because you don’t know what’s going to happen. High level play is just so cookie cutter right now it’s hard to distinguish games.
@Amoeby5 ай бұрын
It is fun to watch these low level games. However, your statement about pro games is not true. You can see the difference between players by their playstyle and micro. Can you distinguish these random games though? Especially after we witnessed several games where players were making upgrades before units or TC first.

No one is going hard on low rank players. We all make mistakes in our games and watching these low MMR matches can help us learn from others' mistakes while also appreciate what works.
@j-rod46005 ай бұрын
I learn more watching these games than the top level games. Not only does Grubby explain why creeps do what they do but he also explains how the players can improve on what they're doing. It's also nice to see that I don't have to do 87 things at once and be competitive

(Practical) Lightning Shield “baiting”: Decide which 1 of 3 units should tank next in the tanking rotation. Buff it with Lightning Shield by: Moments before Lightning Shield cooldown expires and is about to be cast, yoink the “next tank” closely behind 2 allied units to qualify for the buff, get buffed, instantly run the “current tank” away and slide the “next tank” into the fight with Lightning Shield buff. I’ve never done this before, I’m just inferring that based on Grubby’s clear communication.
@Warlock8ZERO5 ай бұрын
fyi from a noobs perspective, I never used to know what upkeep did, so just ignored it entirely, I also thought upgrades didn't apply to pre-existing units, so would get them first every time lol. This might not apply to everyone, but might be one reason why some people do it.
@dan7285 ай бұрын
13:44 speaking as someone who struggles to mannage upkeep, i often think i am ramping up for an end game assualt, but the 30% loss of income prevents me from exploding up to 80, so i languish at sub 60. This can be especially painful if you fail to plan for pop growth ahead of time, and then have to build food buildings while on upkeep at the same time trying to max out your pop on army is really hard on one base. I think sometimes people just fill production and forget to manage pop simulatioinsly so u build up to ~51 then dont have the heart to kill a peasant (but also u meased up lumber eco so u dont even want to.
@DaWombatGaming3 ай бұрын
It's really fascinating to me how solid the starting build orders have been for these players and then how abysmal their actual army control is. It's like perfectly polishing your shoes without bothering to put on clean underwear

I actually see the 51 pop thing happen a lot in higher mmr matches too. Just like it's very common for players to sit on 70 food even though the cap before high income is 80. There's just something janky about the population cut offs and the timings of things + the number of workers needed to keep up lumber that cause this to happen no matter how much players are paying attention.

IDK if I am a noob but I think Orb's get more use on melee heroes no?
@andrejchalas67995 ай бұрын
Its more about their attack speed. Thats where you put an orb. Also ranged heroes are usually more safe positioned so they can just autoattack, while melee heroes move more than attack so not so effective. Ofcourse blademaster, demonhunter are exceptions as their attackspeed is worth giving them an orb
