Omg what a thrilling match up!! 2006-2008 all over again! Can’t wait to watch this. Also would be really really cool if you and moon could play some show matches. I think that would attract a huge audience. This was the best rivalry in wc3 history imo :D I think if Grubby practices enough he can match Moon

@@AgainstTheBladeOfHonour it was pretty close between them back then. But moon is certainly better right now. I think if Grubby practiced for it he could come up with some nice strategies and could maybe compete with moon. Either way it would be cool if it could happen.

That being said, of course he didn't win all the times but he would typically beat Grubby/Sky/Lyn/Happy and everyone else in a majority of matches. Fun fact: At one point Grubby said he was scared his team was going to kick him if he didn't win a major tournament but then went on to beat Moon in the world cyber games finals.

I would definitely not call it simple. Tons of very delicate and smart tricks. Early disruption with GK to confuse opponent, forcing opponent to waste attacks on expand keeping fighting inbetween it and the army, summoning treants in a way that opens access to the shop, making creeps spend mana on inner fire minutes before attacking the camp, microing the wisps to repair ancient protector at unreachable positions instead of just ordering repair, hiding front line huntresses to make back ones unreachable for melee grunts and goddamn how many other things I couldn't even notice

What a gulf of difference between Grubby and Moon! He was three steps ahead the whole game. Higher level heroes, preparing his trap, while keeping Grubby wondering what he's doing the whole time. That tree clear to access the shop was truly a 4D chess moment.

Analysis at the end was very valuable. I would appreciate if you do this on more of your games.. 4v4s included. It is very impressive how Moon forces you into taking disadvantageous decisions - you just HAD to fight between his expo and his army, while he has shop control - and as bad as it seemed, you had no better option available.. :)

Moon seems to be back to his 2007 Fifth Race mode. Just watched the series between him and Happy. While Lyn has been able to beat Happy in BO5 and BO6 recently, it's always fairly close in series between Lyn and Happy. This is honestly the only time I've seen Happy get dominated in a series since his return from SC2 in 2016. Happy not only got outplayed on the macro front, but Moon even beat him in micro in 90% of battles. Lyn and Moon, the two old gods of WC3, seem to be peaking again. I have a very strong suspicion that the next Grand Final will be between these two.

If you are talking about the recent TP league finals, Happy plays against Moon on Netease so he has at least 100 ping disadvantage. I don't think Moon will beat him on fair Ping.

@@stanleytseng7605 Lyn has won 3 games Vs Happy on WC3 Champions where Happy has ping advantage. Happy has also lost to both Lyn and Infi on LAN. Ping is not the big a factor. 100 millisecond is not that much,. I usually play with 200 ping and I am a top 1% player on WC3 Champions with a 1,950 MMR. Even Romantic has beaten Happy on LAN.

@@petercoderch589 Thats silly man, ping matters for sure. Even for 1500 mmr 150 ping sucks. Anyways, saying ping doesnt matter much because you are 1950 doesnt mean much, Happy is 2800... you're not even at a semi-pro level, Happy is the best of the pros... big difference there

Moon has always been one of my favourite players to watch, such a clean playstyle! Forcing the fight to be in that location was just super strong, either you let him have expo for free or fight at a disadvantage where he has the shop right next to him, very good preparation.

Also... a bit of observation on moons playstyle... You need detection... getting witch doctors are useful because you'll still be able to reveal a portion of the map since moon enjoys shadow melding a lot.

Being at 51 Food for a while also hurt. Now, I wonder if having 1 Demolisher would have helped? Either does major damage to Huntresses, or they have to waste moves dodging it, and when it isn't busy doing that, it can bomb Moon's expo from afar.
