Who cares if it has Zpacks advertisement, it is a Will Wood AT video and it is awesome. I love it when he starts talking about the forest and all that stuff and I feel like I am right there with him on the hike. He gives a very positive and realistic presentation of the AT. Zpacks is an innovative company with great products. Looking forward to more adventures.

I'm a big fan and hopefully going to hike one day. Do you have a video for the complete gear list for the AT full thru-hike?
@november1519568 жыл бұрын
I NOBOed that section last summer. Weather was clear except for Hump Mountain. It was socked in and the wind was blowing hard like in this video, but no rain.
@jandal89058 жыл бұрын
Looks like some nice trail there - similar to parts of Te Araroa, but much easier. Zpacks backpacks and raingear tended to fall to bits on Te Araroa, but I used some of their cuben stuffsacks with success and am considering buying a Triplex tent for through-hiking the PCT (tried a Duplex and found it too small). Thanks for posting this.

I want that hat so badly. So much better looking than new model IMO! I actually had one on order before those ran out, but cancelled it because it wasn't available when my backpack was finished. I'll even take a sweaty one :)

Hi Will, I've enjoyed watching your videos for a while now, and picked up a lot of great information along the way. Most of my hikes have been on the AT, but this summer I'm hiking the JMT, and looking for a reasonably priced multifunction watch (with an altimeter and barometer.) Are there any that you would recommend? Thanks. Joe

Hey, I like that you listed some of your gear on the video! How do you like those Cascadia 11s? I had a pair of the eights and they were awsome, but I now have two pair of 10s and I don't like them nearly as much. Have you owned the 8s and 10s and can you compare them to the 11s? Do you use other insoles with them?
@RedBeard09248 жыл бұрын
I never purchased the 10s due to the defect. The 11s so far have been good despite the shift from the original design of the 9s and 8s that I loved. My foot is narrow however so the 11s work great for me atleast after 60 some odd miles.

Will...I'm immensely interested in that Solplex tent. so question, how tall are you and can you fit your pack inside with you? I'd be using it on a SOB thru of the PCT in the desert sections. Want to be able to keep the creepy-crawlies out of my pack as well as my shoes which I'd keep inside regardless.
@RedBeard09248 жыл бұрын
I'm 6' tall and I don't put my pack in there. You probably could fit it but it would be tight. I always keep my pack in the vestibule regardless and have never had any issues with the bugs. It's an incredible tent and has become my go to.

Awesome job with the videos. They just keep getting better with each trip and edit. Are you still using the same sony action cam or another one and what programs are you using for editing. Dont know if you remember but you helped me out with my new pack. Im taking it out for a week long section hike leaving this week. Then Im back home forba week before heading out for my thru hike. Keep the videos coming!!!
@RedBeard09248 жыл бұрын
+Shonryu thanks my friend. I'm using a combo of my Sony action camera when it's raining and for the stickpic shots and my new iPhone 6s Plus that films in 4K the rest of the time and that's it. I am still just using iMovie to do all my editing. Good luck on your thru hike. If you need anything just hit me up.
