Everything you guy's were doing in the snow brought back so many memories. My older cousin that was my dad's age would always come down and get us in thus train and take us down the road. Then he would put all of us on a big sled and go driving around their house back to our house. Basically the neighborhood. Back then our town was small. I have to agree with Austin that their are alot of people don't know how to drive in this snow. Especially when you have white out conditions or the lanes are hard to see driving. They will just past you and then we would see them up the road in the ditch. Glad everyone had a good time. 🥰

I’m in North Carolina. Love , we get way more freezing rain and then “black ice” than we do snow. Just like you we might if we are “lucky” get one snow a year if that (lived here almost 31 years) I think in only 3 of the 31 years has it snow more than twice and one of those the highway was 6-8 inches and within 4 days after the sun takes it all away thank God! I detest ALL weather below 70 degrees 😂🤣😂🤣

Gideon reminds me of my nephew Aiden!! Personality for days!! Smart beyond words and talked like he was 20 years old AT only 4!!! Yeah our kids trained in driving in the snow since the age of 14. They could get their permit at 14. So they started driving with us and drove all winter long. At first I started them in the high school parking lot when it was empty of vehicles. So they could get used to the snow. They we headed out to the countryside and their aunts house to practice on gravel roads and paved roads that were not busy before going on busier roads with more traffic. By the time they got their drivers license they were very comfortable with it! We live in very North Iowa by the Minnesota border!

Oh gosh. Does you power company know? Here the say to get a doctors note and they will have it back on sooner. Also do you have portable tanks to run till power comes on? I wish you the very best. When I was an ER RN, we would have people come in when power would be out because they didn’t have power. That is always an option. Please take care.
