Jill’s book was written with love. She expresses her feelings with grace, trying hard not to draw her siblings into the conflict, and professes gratitude for her upbringing. A parent at some point has to relinquish control and trust that their grown child has learned and can make good choices as you and Austin have.

I’ve been married 40 years. My husband has always taken responsibility for arguments, even when I am mostly at fault. He would never point a finger at me… only back at himself. That was very convicting. He always told me that his job in our relationship is to love me as Christ loves the Church.

They mentioned towards the beginning of their Q and A that they’re no longer following or adhering to the teachings of the IBLP movement. I’m So very happy for them for making that decision. Just finished Jill’s book in under two days. I love the honesty that y’all give , and how you don’t necessarily follow IBLP or what your parents done. You still have a heart for Jesus and teach your children to love Jesus and others and I think it’s all beautiful.

I feel like the way to bring someone to love and understanding and reality is not through judgment. Imagine if a young person being brought up in IBLP sees this and sees hate. They're certainly not going to see folks outside of IBLP in a positive light lol. When I was pregnant with my 4th baby and just a few days before she was born. I heard a God's voice in my head say this was it. Cause after my last 3 after they were born, I would always say I wanted 6. But God gave me 4 Beautiful babies, which are my world, now 10 grandkids and 1 great grandbaby. ❤❤❤

For our 25th we went to Australia and New Zealand. Always wanted to go to New Zealand and even had a work permit visa after high school before college but thought I’d I took a year off I’d never go to college. It was an amazing trip. Making the home as special as the time at church is great. Serve in church serve at home and in your community.

I went on an alaskan land tour and followed by a sea cruise with my parents and aunts/uncles last year. I highly recommend land tour over cruise. Cruise was mostly touristy spots and much less authentic alaska. Also pretty much only princess cruise line and holland america does theres tours & cruises. We did princess. Most people were retired. Totally fine BUT we saw the holland america people often along the trip and it was more varied age. Alaska is amazing. I cant wait to go back.

If y'all ever want to move west, northern Nevada is wonderful! We're close to so many lakes and rivers (Lake Tahoe is my favorite!), it's a couple of hours over the hill to Apple Hill Farms (wonderful this time of year), and we're only four or so hours from the closest beaches. 😊❤

My late husband and i were married for 30 years. A lot of those years were tough seasons but we always managed to work it out. Communication is vital. And never go to sleep angry. If you want to revisit Alaska, may I recommend visiting the Fairbanks North Star Borough? Hot springs, river float, fishing, kayaking/canoeing, the northern most southern BBQ (yes, it’s real southern BBQ), view wildlife even within city limits, if you want to go on a “wilderness adventure” over a weekend there are companies that will supply you with a guide and all the necessities, history museums, Pioneer Park, nature trails, etc.

If you guys are interested in Alaska - I follow a couple and a family who live in Alaska - one is Somers in Alaska- Christian couple with 4 kids who live in North Pole; and a couple who live pretty a rural life - simple living Alaska grow their own food, hunt, fish and live in a cabin. Very cool to watch!
