I really enjoy learning ukulele but the problem is that I don't sing. My voice is horrible and I also can't sing and strum at the same time. Everytime I learn a song and I play it to my parents they ask me: Is that a song? It sounds so monotonous... Does it even make sense to play the ukulele if one doesn't want/can sing along?

Of course it make sense. You are using your mind for something productive.I fi the ukele brings you joy then by all means do it.I reD something recently from an instructor that everyone sings in the voice they speak in. You just need to find the key that your voice is in and learn the chords. If singing really isn't your thing the learn to pick the melody. Then try fingerstyle.above all if you enjoy it do it. Don't worry about the people who criticize, just have fun.
