The Orchestra is really, really into the music and you not only hear it, but feel it as you watch them throw the hell down. The Conductor is a whole show; right by him own self 🍾🍾🍾

Nothing vamps it like 1960s spy music. Just as a genre, so much good stuff, and this is just a great piece, played with a lot of love and a lot of fun. Nice to see the conductor and musicians so into it.

Back in high school, (1970's) we had a battle of the marching bands. We played at the USC Coliseum in LA. Lalo Schifrin conducted all the bands (don't remember how many high schools were there, but there was a lot) on the football field. The echoing along with trying to keep the 5/4 time was really hard. A memory I'll never forget.

I was at this performance in July 2007 sitting in the first row behind the percussion section in the Sydney Opera House. The whole performance was amazing especially the very beginning. The first half of the performance was a movie scoring for a movie that was never made nor was ever intended to be made I guess. The Mission Impossible theme was the closing number.

Sensational. You brought a great deal of memories from my childhood. Lalo schiffrin was a genius. Tom Cruise crapped both on the essence of that show which was being about a covert action by a T-E-A-M and not an individual, and then changing the rhythm of that unbelievable Theme Song. Best seasons were the first Three (1966 to 1969) when Martin Landau as Rollin, and Barbara Bain as Cinnamon were starring in the show. ❤❤❤❤

Yeah the live orchestra knocked it out of the park. Their signature rhythm was off the charts. Not an easy thing to do for odd time signatures where the beats aren't as easy to measure without a metronome.

Yes often older people are very talented. MIssion Impossible is a very simple song compared to most classical pieces. For a orchestral level player it is probably demeaning. It would be like making them play a Snoop Dogg song.

Wow. Thanks. My flute students wanted to play this and I kept finding weird meter changes in the middle that would throw them and I remembered only playing it in 5/4 in orchestra!! It's more confusing to change it!
