I tried this and it made a burgundy/purplish brown. Not the chocolate brown I had in mind. How can it be made into the normal brown?

To make rose gold you will need a copper luster dust or a shimmer for the shine effect. Mixed them with alcohol food grade the swipe it on the surface of your fondant. For the fondant the color you'll need to prepare is a dusty pink color. First make Rose pink fondant, you can use rose/pink food color mix with white fondant. Then add just a tiny black. You will have dusty pink color. Ratio rose pink 30 : black 1. Hope this answer your question.
