Thank you so much for this tutorial! I had a client call for a last minute wedding cake request. I had 3 days! She wanted a tree stump with deer as the topper. The cake turned out beautifully thanks to this video! I wish I could post a photo.

You're so polite in your videos! I'm going to attempt a stump cake with a chocolate sour cream frosting (50/50) for the bark, mottling the color by abstaining from thoroughly mixing it and lightening the sides by applying water. Fondant just isn't my favorite thing. Still not positive what'll happen for the top frosting, but we'll find out.

Zoe you're really talented, never seen a tutorial like this. Also very good for the video of the wooden floor boards, just gorgeous. And speaking of what I wanted to ask, you could make a similar one with zebra stripes. I would like to learn how to make a cover zebra white \ black to put on a cake, and I do not know how to do, so I refer to that video, because I do not know whether to use the same technique as that, it would be correct or not. I hope you will, thank you.

what color did you use to get the original color of the bark before you "painted" the dark brown?
@zoesfancycakes10 жыл бұрын
I cant remember which brown it was, but I kept it really pale. It might have been dark brown sugarfalir colour with a tad of ivory.

Why do you use water instead of lemon extract to paint the bark brown?
@zoesfancycakes10 жыл бұрын
I just find it works ok for me with water so I may as well use water as I don't have to buy lemon juice then :)
