After a million emails with my friend Eric who wanted to send me a ‪@FONECULTURE‬ #eagle 890 to test I finally managed to get it in the water a few weeks ago. Coming from ‪@TAKUMACONCEPT‬ #Kujira I love good gliders with an AR of more than 8.0.
So I gave this front wing a try on the 85 cm aluminum mast combined with a
XXS Fuselage and the
DW210 stab.
Board: Rocket Wing V2 5’4 75l
Hand wing: Strike 4.2
At this place on Kos the wind is mostly blowing offshore in the morning and turns side off later so the first 100m are quite gusty before you get the full 💥 blast. You better not go too big in sail size when it's quiet on the beach.
That day it started with 25kn. The following were about 35kn!
The eagle 890 is extraordinary maneuverable for a high AR front wing. And the carves are surfy enough for my style. Riding it high on the mast you get the full sensation of an endless glider. I can imagine the potential of wave/swell riding which I couldn’t test. And as you can see you can jump it what I didnt expect in that easy way. There was absolutely no doubt of the bombproof construction.
Using full carbon even on the fuselage and connecting the mast via a titanium link you don’t worry about corrosion.
Just keep in mind that the screws of the mast/fuselage connection are 32mm! Not less!!

I use the ‪@harnessmount6667‬ belt which is fantastic in a combo with a smallrig case.
I just cut the pole to 80cm length. Much better while tacking so I don't touch the wing with the stick.
