Yeah, the traveler was specifically thinking of the prophecy and Furina's hidden knowledge literally a second before that cutscene, and on top of that they didn't know what Focalors and Neuvi talked about. They had no attachment towards Furina at all and it's quite funny to see people hate the traveler for it after they themselves hated Furina until then.
