Great band. I'm surprised no one has thrown in a similarity to BLUR in some of their sound. He sure sounds like Paul Weller (The Jam) when he sings on Dublin City Sky. Just heard a song this band on radio South Winds Blow which sounds great, after checking Fontaines D.C on youtube and listening to a few of their tunes my ears pick up on a great mix of MC5, Damien Dempsey, Shane MacGowan, Billy Bragg, Joy Division, a little Dylan, James Joyce. The music is great, it, it is raw, it is real, they tell great stories, they fully believe in what they are doing, they grab your attention. What more do you need to enjoy great music.
