I have no idea how Taylor sings and plays drums too. Man.... that has to be hard. What a musician?
@markvaught67211 күн бұрын
Not to take anything away from Taylor Hawkins, or diminish his skills in any way. He is a talented musician. He was in other bands before the Foo Fighters. Yes, playing drums while singing is not easy. But it's not uncommon. Lots and lots of people play drums and sing. Go look up The Band. Yes, that was really their name, The Band. They were Bob Dylan's backing band in the 60's and 70's. They also had a few hits of their own in the late 60's and early 70's. Their drummer, Levon Helm, sang a lot. Ringo Starr sang and played. He was in a band called the Beatles. You probably have heard of them. Queen, although mostly known for flamboyant frontman and lead singer, Freddie Mercury, had drummer named Roger Taylor, who sang several songs of theirs. My personal favorite being Tenement Funster on their Sheer Heart Attack CD. Google it. Lol

1:02 This is so beautiful yet painful to watch. Cried immediately the first time I saw it. I really can't even begin to imagine the pain that Dave, Taylor's family, and the band are enduring right now and if this is the end of the band then so be it. Completely understandable considering what they're going through and what Dave has already gone through in the past, and thankfully I had the amazing fortune of seeing them live at Reading Festival 2019, their last UK show to date (as far as I am aware). However, there are very few things I wouldn't do to have the chance to see them perform with Taylor again and witness the unending joy that he spread to the world and those around him :'(
@mogala30682 жыл бұрын
I have been to many Foo Fighter concerts. I honestly don't see them trying to put it back. This is a big tough hurt. I bet Dave will concentrate on his daughter's careers and maybe...maybe jam with QOTSA. Otherwise, Dave can't put his heart out again with Taylor not behind him on the set. Just don't see it happening.

"I wish I could take it away And save you from yourself You get so lost inside your head Like no one else" This whole song and that line in particularly just hits harder now. I used to think this song was about him projecting to somebody else but the more I think about it I believe it's a song he wrote about himself and his personal demons/addiction that he has been battling the majority of his life. Some people may not know but Taylor overdosed in 2001 and it put him into a coma. It was nearly the end of the band. I pray for Taylors family and Foo's personal health above all. Dave and Taylor played off each other, pushed each other. It was magical. It is very rare indeed, to see a talent like Taylor's. They would have gone on to play for a long time. Maybe. Dave has admitted to hearing loss. There is a montage that Chad Smith posted on Instagram. I've watched it so many times. Taylor was so alive and joyful being in a life he truly loved, and that too is rare, to do THE very thing you love and were meant to do. As a fan I still can't get over the loss. I just cannot imagine what those closest to him are still going through.
