He was really talented as far as pop and hard rock drummers go these days. Matt Cameron of currently Pearl Jam, formerly Soundgarden/Temple of the Dog Jimmy Chamberlin of Smashing Pumpkins are probably the top living alt rock power drummers, but Beck has an excellent drummer that plays so tastefully it’s hard to notice, Wilco has a great drummer, Flaming Lips have a great drummer but I don’t think he drums anymore? Feels like looped and electronic stuff. Muse I guess.

True, they're just so solid of a unit. A true small ensemble. And dave's voice is fine live, great at times, but he's done damage to his voice with years of screaming and it's starting to show.

Dave Grohl and his AWESOME BANDMATES, Chris Shiflett, Nate Mendel, Taylor Hawkins and Pat Smeat, are the most innovative musicians of our time... If any of you have had the honor of watching Sonic Highways, a documentary on HBO hosted by Dave and the band, where they visit one city for a week, absorb their culture, past, present or future, Dave WRITES A SONG ABOUT IT... using words, phrases and sayings from the legends he interviews each week in every song he writes and they are all FANTASTIC AND AWE INSPIRING!! He NEVER ceases to amaze me and from the moment I found him back in the 90's... I have gladly never looked back. Thanks Dave, for all the music, all the memories {saw you live in Dallas in 2006. PLEASE COME BAAAAAACCCCCKKKKKK!!!!!} and particularly all the fucking fantastic FUN!!! You will first and foremost be my favorite band of all time...and I adore Zeppelin, so you really should consider yourselves legends NOW!!! HA!!! \m/
