It’s a hard one for sure. Really fun to play once you’ve got it down tho :) just remember that focus on the rebounds and grind out the 16th notes so they become second nature

Thanks for a way to practice the song without having drums in the background. It helped me a lot

Is there some kind of special technique to this!?!? (For the 16th notes that is)
@bradygoodmanofficial8 ай бұрын
start at a slower bpm just doing the high hats. (doing that), make sure your thumbs are facing slightly inwards when you hold your sticks, letting them bounce off of your palm. almost use the same motion with your sticks like you would bouncing a basketball- letting them float and bounce back up. im not sure what level you’re at but make sure you’re only using your wrists while on the HH with the exception of your right hitting the snare- then, you just pivot your elbow back a little but keep it minimal if you can. one little trick that really helped me with 16th notes: slowly practice 16th notes, and pay attention to your right hand- when you hit the HH 3 times with your right hand, on the 4th note switch to the snare. that’s the trick to 16th notes in general but it’s very helpful for this song. play to a click you’re comfortable at then speed it up. good luck!

@@bradygoodmanofficial thanks, appreciate it. I can play along to songs like the pretender, my hero, bullet with butterfly wings and bring me to life if that gives you an idea of what level I’m at

@@ElliotHenry-z7g thats great, i started with Dave Grohl, Steven Adler, Matt Sorum, Stewart Copeland, Travis Barker and Chad Smith grooves. the pretender can be rough especially in the beginning and my hero took a bit to figure out the kick pattern lol. you’re on a good track of learning as long as you take a piece of your inspirations with you and make it your own and have fun with it.
